@@Doronsmovies I say Azerite is Azeroth's attempt at converting the Black Blood of a Old God and not necessarily her own blood. Just like how she converted Earthen into Thraegar, the Azerite is just converted Black Blood, what if Beledar is actually the actual Old God body converted into a crystal in the same fashion of Magni and the other Thraegar and the stabbing of the blade from Sargeras caused an imbalancement in that still ongoing conversion causing the void side to leak out every now and then. The Naaru are said to be lost kin of the Void Lords, so it still fits the overarching theme. What if Beledar is actually an attempt to convert an Old God into an artificial Naaru through Azeroth's influence to attempt the inability for it to convert back to void but this was a ongoing process disrupted by Xal'atath and others dealing with it.

If keeper Tyr is the reason the silver hand exists, and he taught the humans to wield the holy light, how are we to assume the titans cannot?
@justinb74942 күн бұрын
He didn't, humans didn't learn how to use the Light until priests started to have visions from Naaru after the Troll Wars. As for the Silver Hand, he's not really the reason they exist. They just decided to name their faction and base their principles off of stories of him that were passed down.

Since the Jailer gave Sylvanas her soul back, can she still use her banshee powers? I dislike that they gave her soul back. But I think she will have returned at some point during this expansion - likely to pull Alleria back from the brink. She's the perfect choice of a character to do: she got an unearthly power, she tried to use it to help her people (the Forsaken), she understands the temptations of power, she understands being an outcast, and most importantly, she's her sister.

@corbin_4738 Do you think writing a redemption arc for Hitler would be great writing like in Marvel?
@corbin_4738Күн бұрын
@galten7361 Comparing Sylvanas to Hitler? A fictional undead blood elf whose race used to be night elves that lives with the undead and has banshee powers and made deals with a being from a different dimension - comparing this person to Hitler? To you compare everything and everyone you dislike to Hitler? Newsflash - *she's fictional*
@galten7361Күн бұрын
@@corbin_4738 Sylvanas legit used Fascist talking points and tactics in the novels (talking about seizing lebensraum and the "secure a future for horde children we must kill the alliance" and committed a genocide). I'm sure you heard online that mentioning Hitler makes you automatically lose an argument regardless of who you are talking about but that's not the case. A lot of what made Sylvanas such an atrociously written character when they finally committed to having her being a Marvel movie villain (but still being redeemed) is the writers being overwhelmingly New Worlders with no real experience/knowledge with/of actual Fascism and being from a country that has a wonky attitude towards its history when it comes to stuff like genocides and them needing to keep their stuff as inoffensive as possible (same thing that lets the MCU approve stuff like Black Panther, have both the hero and the villain say talking points that let anyone of all relevant political leanings find something to agree with and being set in a fake country means they can have no real impact on their world beyond showing up to fight villains). Like other writers today, they do too much to make Fascism seem like a credible ideology with men who advocate for it either "having a point" or being men forced into darkness or they otherwise fail to portray it suitably and end up looking supportive of it. You can see another example of this being New Star Wars or Legend of Korra. The devs have characters say stuff like how if Garrosh didn't become a supervillain he would've been the greatest Orc ever (aka if Hitler wasn't Hitler the Nazis would've won and been great) and out of universe that contra assertions otherwise Garrosh using Old God magic did warp him. Sylvanas had to have a whole arc introducing a bigger and more dangerous villain who planned it all and ensured that Sylvanas has an out for her redemption. This is pretty much writing a redemption arc for Hitler by saying that space aliens manipulated him. Among other things, this reflects that Blizzard has no real ability to talk about real world issues like genocide.
@corbin_4738Күн бұрын
@galten7361 Holy crap, I'm not going to read that. She is a fictional character. Learn the difference. And of course I have heard that argument online about Hitler, but that doesn't mean I didn't think of it myself prior. When *everyone* is accused of Hitler, it loses its meaning. "You're Hitler. They're Hitler. Now they're Hitler. He's Hitler. They're Hitler. Orcs were like Hitler - but Saurfang got a redemption arc so it's cool." Why is no one like Mao since he slaughtered far more people? Or Rwanda? Or humanity in general that have driven countless species of animals to extinction - we must all be Hitlers to the animal kingdoms. And I don't even like the MCU. I liked Spider-Man (Tobey) and X-Men (specifically the 2nd). If having an evil villain automatically makes them Hitler, then War of the Worlds was about alien Hitlers. The argument that Sylvanas become poorly written is entirely subjective *but* is truly a reasonable argument.

Now i knew there were special references to the nature and hints on the Siren Isles, especially the Vrykul suddenly exploring the world in higher numbers. Interestingly enough we know that the Earthen were sent to Khaz'alghar to establish titan machinery connections but they experienced a level of awareness and rebellion that allowed them to defy the titan keepers on the island, but the siren isle is the first notion of actual missing titan/explorationary groups, the disappearance of Vrykul and Kul'tirans might actually be some influence of Azeroth. On a final note, regarding the Arathi, There's a certain connection with the Arathi Empire and the Scarlet crusade, the Scarlet crusade have become more hostile and demonstrated higher forms of light powers, i believe they might have gotten in contact with the Emperor.

Crazy theory time. Magic in all its cosmological forms is capable of the same feats. If every cosmological force is capable of "necromancy" as we hear in the shadowlands(death necromancy, light necromancy, so on), than maybe they are capable of other spellworks as well... like teleportation. The arathi were teleported under kazalgar probably by the huge crystal which contains a narru. When sargares struck the world, the narru reached out in desperation, grasping for anything or anyone who could help protect it from the coming threat, and it found the arathi fleet nearby and just scooped them up in a mass light infused teleport spell. Possibly this crystal on the other island, and others undiscovered, may be doing the same thing. Drawing people to them, possibly doing some messed up stuff in its void phase, and maybe just straight up absorbing the missing people. Who's knows, but fun to speculate on

Siren isle... Isn't that the island you land on as Thrall during the Warcraft 3 Demo? They later released it as a playable map. It takes place after Thrall has left Lordaeron, but before he lands on Kalimdor for the first time. He finds Sen'jin (Vol'jin's dad) there.
@jordanpendleton96862 күн бұрын
Another idea that's been floating around in my head is that all these Crystal's are potential narru and that when illidan killed the prime narru, her essence got absorbed Into beladar and is being reformed. This may have started a chain reaction that caused all the other Crystal's to react in a similar way. The timing at the end of legion with sargares stabing the world and the prime narru during and beladar doing its thing is too convenient. If old gods cant be killed in our realm, maybe narru follow similar rules and beladar is basically a respawns point for the prime narru, whereas the other Crystal's are potential narru... or void gods, zalataths a sneaky bitch

I mean, the Light is also just an energy that underlies the entire physical universe in Warcraft, and can be wielded by anyone capable of drawing on their devotion or faith to their cause. Tyr taught the humans how to wield the Light, and himself wields the Light, but I very much doubt he needed Beladar to do so. I suspect Odyn's realm is just filled with Light because he happens to be one of the Titan Keepers who can wield it. Many of his attacks during his fight back in Legion were in fact Light based, with things like the Paladin Blade of Valor attack erupting from the ground, and bolts of Light AoEing outwards.

That whole giant crystal thign smells more and more like another Titan f***ery. I even wonder if Elune the "upstarter goddes" simply came from the first experiments of the Titans with infusing Azeroth with order magic and they use one of these crystals or the Well of Eternity for it. When the mutated trolls = Nightelves started to worship Elune, they saw 'her' as resting inside the Well of Eternity, which itself was mainly just the wound that Titans had caused when they ripped out the old gods and filled with "planet blood". It's said, that this blood was heavily arcane aligned, but was it really? Or did the Titan's just use that wound to corrupt Azeroth with it by pumping arcane magic into it. Elune could be either created on purpose as a test that way - or as a side effect, when the Well of Eternity was corrupted by the Titans with Arcane, mixing Azeroth's life essence with Titan magic, forming this new "hybrid goddess". And who knows - maybe Xal'atath was a side product of that happening in one way or another. It's overall unlikely that Xal isn't distorted in some way and had been very differnt before the whole "imprisoned in a knife" thing.
