A lot of people don't realize this song was actually written in 1966. I forget by who but it was written for Eddie Arnold as a country song!! He did record it a year later. This is my favorite version though. It's beautiful.

Her career took off with several ballads for Malaco Records. "Misty Blue"(1976) reached number 1 on the R&B chart and number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.
