A lot of people don't realize this song was actually written in 1966. I forget by who but it was written for Eddie Arnold as a country song!! He did record it a year later. This is my favorite version though. It's beautiful.

I hadn't heard this song in an incredibly long time when, oh, it showed up on So You Think You Can Dance one year. The dance routine played perfectly with the music and included one of my favourite reality stars whose charm propelled his career, Stephen "tWitch" Boss. The routine is on KZbin. Dorothy Moore was born October 13, 1946, in Jackson, Mississippi. She has four Grammy Award nominations. On October 13, 2022, she celebrated her 76th birthday. Her career took off with several ballads for Malaco Records. "Misty Blue"(1976) reached number 1 on the R&B chart and number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. "Funny How Time Slips Away" (also 1976) reached number 7 on the R&B chart and number 58 on the pop chart. "I Believe You" was number 5 on the R&B and number 27 on the pop chart in 1977.
