Just know her name today( YT feed). In my opinion one of the best rendition of the song “ My Way” you could sense that she gave her all and revealed her true self & poured her soul through this song. All human emotions were displayed- the fierceness,sadness, tenderness,courage, intensity etc. This song is one of the national anthem of Dreamers & Idealist (this is like a sequel/ part II of song Impossible Dream).I even like the color of her gown- pastel ( soft color) but deep within is Passion. A gentle reminder- to finish our assignment before The Final Curtain..

One of the show business greats. Dorothy sang as only she could. Every ounce of her very being goes into every performance. A remarkable and very uncompromising performet.

Dorothy was a unique and special performer, apparently an inspiration to Adele. Passionate, uncompromising she sang with an intensity few would dare. On softer songs she sang sweetly and with a yearning. I saw her `live` many, many times between 1973 and 1990. Always memorable and at her considerable best absolutely unmatchable... she is no bland singer to remain indifferent about .... I admired her very much . There seems to be little footage. Wish someone could unearth `THE IRONY OF WAR` as seen on `THE GOLDEN SHOT` (1970`S)

Her life was such a tragedy and a terrible ending. Roger Moore behaved badly when she was homeless.

She never got over Roger Moore; I think he ruined her life in many ways. She got his career off the ground; I don’t want to believe he used her - she was ten years older when it was unheard of having ‘Toy Boys’. She had all the connections; she was a HUGE Star in the USA, and knew all the right people. She threw such fantastic parties that Hollywood Stars would travel over from America just to attend them!

This was frightening. And sad. And I couldn't stop. Watching. Kind of Phyllis Diller gone wrong.
@davidwalsh34395 жыл бұрын
Mortal Clown. You are the sad one. Dorothy was old school talent who sang from the heart. You need to button your lip and show respect.

Her dress is fine and so is her singing. That said, she's not great, honestly. She always seemed to come across as belligerent when she sang, although maybe I'm letting what I know of her weird personal life interfere with my opinion.

Diller had no talent. Your comparison is ludicrous.
