Dorothy Molter, called the loneliest person in the United States was the last legal resident of the BWCA. For 56 years she lived on Knife Lake where she greeted canoeists with a warm smile and a glass of cold homemade root beer.
Perhaps you were lucky enough to stop at her cabin for a root beer.
Her story is part of the incredible history of the BWCA. It's also the subject of a one-woman show playing at the History Theatre in St. Paul.
For this Lunch with Friends, we’ll talk with actress Kim Schultz and director Addie Gorlin-Han on how they brought this story to life.
Join us today for a great conversation on creativity, wilderness and this iconic woman!
