The first version of this build was what launched my channel last year, so this build will always be extra special to me. It seems that I've been known more as the Stasis guy recently, but those of you who have been here from the beginning know that this is where it all started. Great vid! Always love your builds. Only changes I'm really making is that I'm taking off the duplicate heavy handed and bomber mods since duplicate mods have surprisingly diminishing returns right now. A second heavy handed mod only brings the orb from ~0.75% to ~1% super recharge per orb and a second bomber mod only changes the grenade return from 12% to 15%. I replaced them with the firepower mod in the arms and special finisher in the class item. With the amount of orbs you make and the synergy with the assasin's cowl, this makes ammo concerns with any double specials irrelevant. Great stuff as always mate! Been rocking a similar build to this for solo stuff but reworked it with better stat armor after watching this.

Wavesplitter has been sleeper OP for a while but the addition of Reaper really pushed it over the edge, and now the community seems to be waking up to it. I'm going to miss my secret OP trace rifle once it gets the inevitable nerf.

Thanks, glad you appreciate it! It bothers me too when a "broken busted build" is shown in a normal mode Lost Sector or even worse, a Patrol Zone. Any gun that shoots straight and some movement key input will "break" patrol...

Huh, I've been waiting for your take on the updated build. You are the singular reason I have ever considered building out my Hunter, with how little use I found for them in PvE before that. As a Titan at heart who misses his melee centric approaches, this build more than tides me over the recent synthoglaive nerf.

The Titan Bonk setup is still really strong. But if you want to use "real" melees, I think this is definitely the way to go!

@@Dorvarich Haha, yeah, I know; still makes me feel itchy that the artillery archetype tends to have the better melee fantasy than the "at close quarters, a fist is better than any gun/fists don't need reloading" archetype. Still love Siegebreaker as much as when I first laid eyes on it though. This just gives me a very good reason to flesh out my other characters while keeping in line with my personal favourite power fantasy.

This build is fun but it's maddeningly inconsistent on heals/invisibility. I've died on legendary brakkion about 120 times now and most of them are because I just don't get the proc when I need it.

It's really satisfying! Barriers die before they realize you're smashing their face in, and Overloads and Unstoppables get stunned and subsequently deleted.

Thanks for the update build. I loved the original one and had some success with it, but with changes to resilience and mod system, I found doing solo dungeons with the new one more difficult. Unfortunately now you have to play better and more careful, because the build won't do it for you, that sucks :P

Since arc 2.0 I’ve been using a similar build. Made this Warlock main really enjoy the Hunter class. It’s also very satisfying to run around punching stuff and getting your energy right back 😩

a variation to this is to ignore your grenade and use spark of haste to increase all three of your top stats by 30 and run both amplitude and feedback.

try using Heartshadow sword with this so that you can use the heavy attack while invisible on bosses or something big to weaken them and stay invisible also giving you a speed buff when invisible and wielding the sword ( though it doesnt stack with amplified )

Happy to see the updated version of Arcstrider! This build and your guides got me solo flawless through Shattered Throne, Pit, Prophecy and solo not flawless through Spire. You do great content. Any thoughts on running a copy of Emergency Reinforcement instead of a resist mod on the chest piece?

I don't like Emergency Reinforcement because it's only a 10% resist. But it would certainly fit into the build since there's nothing else competing for armor charge stacks.

When lightfall dropped, i personally updated your old arc build focussing more on survivability and not grenades. I barely use nades with this build. Hence, I use Better Already leg armor mod, which has saved me a couple of times and I use finisher mods in my class item to fully restore HP when we're in a dicy situation. Other than that, I also focus on heavy weapons, as those are very important for dealing with bosses. So, I use heavy ammo finder mods and weapon surge mods, which can also help boost one-two punch just a lil bit more. Also, are you sure 2x Heavy Handed has any benefit? I've noticed with just 1, you can still keep making orbs with every powered melee punch.

Have you tried Skullfort with Thunderclap and Heavy Handed + Kickstart + Invigoration and Hands-On? I wouldn't recommend it for endgame content but it's a really fun way to build into the punch fantasy on Titan, while getting your super extremely fast.

Ever since season of Plunder and your original Arcstrider video I’ve been subbed, and I’ve also run a personalized variant of it ever since. Day one Lightfall I scrambled to reconstruct the build and found it only got stronger. However… thing I’d like to point out is that Spark of Haste grants a bonus of THIRTY to the upper three stats for just sprinting. So, if you find yourself short on stats, Haste could be a good flex slot fragment.

I used your original build to solo flawless some dungeons last season. Do you run any sword charge mods to make lament a better DPS setup, or do you find it not worth the slots now?

The loss of Lucent Blade's 35% bonus hurt a lot. But when I'm using Lament for DPS I do switch onto Solar Surge mods. When I'm going full tryhard I actually hotswap my boots for another pair with triple Solar Surge.

@exopaut I didn't mean that; by speccing into melee I mean like orb generation stuff not regeneration. That shizz comes free with the build. The grenade isn't the main focus on the build it's ALWAYS the mellee even his version, so I think maxxing that and getting the most out of that is better IMO.

In the grand scheme of things I dont really know how optimal it is but I feel that I must say that Conditional Finality, the RoN exotic shotgun, slots in really well here. You're trading melee damage from one-two punch for pretty great utitlity in the form of strong cc from being able to freeze and shatter any threatening target that isnt a boss level enemy to then being able to ignite them for some decent damage and killing nearby trash. Both Shattering and Ignitions stun unstoppable champions as well. Using this shotgun alongside a crafted ikelos smg with voltshot with this build has felt like an absolute dream. I also use a crafted commemoration with repulsor brace and volatile flow from the artifact as LMGs are really good this season and the void overshield is nice for suvivability. Put simply, not only would you have access to 4/5 sublclass verbs at your command: Freeze,Ignite,Jolt,Volatile. But you'd also have all 3 champion types covered: Shotgun stuns with ignite and shatter, Jolt on its own stuns overload champs alongside an smg. and a void lmg can deal with barrier champions with volatile rounds and in the same breath, you've got both close range and long range engagements covered. Sorry this got to be so long but I cannot help but gush over how this combination has felt for me especially with the build provided in the video. Truly the first setup that has clicked with me on such a level that I had to just share. Regardless, I wish nothing but goodluck to all those chasing the raid shotgun!

I personally did not like hunter before but now It’s so much more fun and I even completed my first solo lost sectors on hunter with it and my warlock sits in the corner now and cries 🤣 One question I have is, what is the exact gameloop for dealing with champions ? Clearing the adds besides them first and then dodge shotty punch punch ? I have some trouble with barrier champions

You can use same build with Liar's Handshake for more dps but without invisibility, it's perfect for gambit (last time more than 50k dps to boss), same dungeons etc is really cool :)

Ah, I've used this build since before I subscribed. As for an exotic, I recommend using Wish Ender! Infinite ammo + intrinsic Antibarrier makes you an all-around Champion slayer. + It's a long-range weapon. For my heavy, I just use Hothead but tbh you could also use linears or whatever else you want.

Did all Day1 encounters and every content with that build, still working fine. Just switching for Heavy Finder/Scout +Head-On on helmet Surge on boots if needed with Dilation on cap. For champions, specially unstoppable using Leviathian breath is a good option since everything else is easy to cover and still good weapon to dps boss.
