13:48 for those who may be too young the band playing is a spin off from the “Fat Albert” cartoon series back in the 70s-80s. Every episode there was some type of conflict but in the end it was solved in peace by the friends of kids on the block & they always played a song that reflected the problem. So it fits here perfectly.

@@KevinUchihaOG Not sure…I watched when it aired originally on TV, not because someone on the internet said it would be a good idea. One of the things i love about Jimmy is the fact that whenever he stutters, literally everyone, including the Crips, politely waits and lets him finish what he's saying. And he almost always DOES finish no matter what, except in comedic moments where his being interrupted is the punch line. Another thing is the fact that he seems to be the only one who understands Timmy.

Also, Christopher Reeve's Legion of Doom members include Solomon Grundy, Butters (as Professor Chaos), Dougie (as General Disarray), Dr. Octopus, David Blaine, Kim Jong Il, Cheetah, Saddam Hussein, Black Manta, Dr. Victor von Doom and Osama bin Laden. Jimmy is honestly one of the best characters on this show. Lol. Also, the ending song was a Fat Albert reference. Reeves floating in space was a Superman 2 reference.

Hey Guys! Loved the reaction! The look on your faces when you find out they want to call their club "Crips" is priceless!! (Couldn't stop laughing!!). Couple of things, when the gang members start singing and playing odd looking instruments, it is a call back the the Fat Albert kids cartoon series from the 70's and when Christopher Reeve's is banished is a reference to the original Superman Movie he starred in. Take care and I hope you keep enjoying the South P experience!!

In the old DC Superman comics, the Phantom Zone was a parallel dimension in which the Kryptonian justice system would sentence their criminals. In _Superman: The Movie _ (1978) with 'Chris' Reeve, the special effect used to depict this incarceration was a large square mirror spinning through space, with the criminals inside it, as depicted here.
