I personally like the concept and execution of this hero. But I will say if they do what they did to Abaddon and just list him as 'melee' I can't see how that'll encourage most to play this hero. I mean from what I see he's a Durable/Disabler/Nuker if anything an Offlaner hero.

Hes an extremely useful versatile teamfight hero and initiator. He can counter initiate, initiate, pull allies out of trouble, kick in allies to initiate, kick out enemies to remove them from the teamfight and has an arsenal of crowd control abilities. I don't see how anyone can just list him as "melee". I don't see why people would label abaddon as a "melee" as well, he's an amazing support (and only should be played as a support) thats great in lane and purge's some of the strongest ccs like bane's ult and batrider's lasso.

Some people think that Valve created this hero. Earth Spirit and Oracle were added to Warcraft 3 Dota a while ago, so valve just ported Earth Spirit like any other hero.

No. Earth Spirit and Oracle AS HEROES are created by IceFrog for Dota 1. The skins are made by Blizzard but the hero concept is IceFrog's work.

es is similar to puck in many ways. great teamfight initiation, great ganker, great chaser, hard to lock down, can solo kill heroes early-mid game if he spends his ulti. the difference is that he is harder to play well and more fun than puck.

? Do you seriously think low winrate in pubs means he isn't OP? Is this a joke? Io and Batrider both used to have shitty winrates, but they were top ban-pick heroes. Even professional players agree that ES is unbalanced. And he can be tough to play first time (reason of the %40), but after you learn the combo (which is easy to learn) you can wreck pubs.

Before the last Update, he was OP,just take a look to his skills: 1st.Ranged silence. 2nd.great mobility+ 80% slow,getting you close and in front to the enemy in order to push him towards your allies 3rd.Ranged Stun. 4th.and a ult that acts like cancer( it kill you as time passes). PD: his 1st and 3rd acts like a force staff. and this could be done without aiming his stone remmants But now the new skills Obligate to the players do it.

32% now.......and I'm guessing a lot of THOSE wins were won by another hero's impact on the game, with very few people actually making an impact with Earth Spirit. I don't even try to play him, I don't honestly know how I could cope with guessing where exactly the team fight would be and putting the stones in the right spot for Magnetise......because let's be honest, mid/late game, that's the only skill that does any REAL damage.

Earth Spirit main here, over 300 games with him. I basically carry every game even tho i play him as Support, he can counter ANYONE and i mean it. he's the only thing i play now because you have soo many combinations that it's insane if in right hands! Stun + Slow + Silence He's also the tankiest hero in Dota after Pudge and Centaur, i get like 5hp without heart of tarassque on him Massive damage dealer, great Inititator, and a good Aura carrier. Try him guys :)

Just saying, this hero is going to be imba as fuck in teamfights. Especially against uncoordinated pubs. Going to see quite a few nerfs/reworks before being seen in competitive. And if anyone is wondering what is role is, he's a mid-hero who gets fasts levels and then goes off to be a tempo controller by ganking, saving heroes from ganks, and being a menace in teamfights. He's going to be nuts unless he gets nerfed into the ground.

wow i played this guy in war3 dota but couldn't be bothered to understand some of his skills as fully as you guys explained them. he is undeniably awesome and going to be great for dota 2. unfortunately...i do wonder if he's bugged...when i played him, he pulled ROCKS, not allies. now you're showing pulling allies...that's crazy. i didn't understand his ultimate before, but this pulling allies thing is new to me or it's simply a bug. he SHOULD be pulling rocks, so if he's not doing that, either the earth spirit changed in 6.79 or someone is crazy or this is a bug.

What is probably going to be a favorite combo for Earth Spirit: place a *Stone Remnant* behind your enemies, pull it with *Geomagnetic Grip* to stun and set up the stone in front of you, dash through it with *Rolling Boulder*, get behind your enemy and use *Boulder Smash* on the enemy to punch them into your allies. Earth Spirit seems to be designed to spam Rolling Boulder often, each of the spirits seem to be designed for dashing. Though ES's ultimate is beyond my understanding so far.
