Dota 2 Hero Spotlight - Rooftrellen the Treant Protector

Changes to Treant Protector have been made since this video was released. This list will contain those changes (not including number changes, since they are very frequent) Nature's Guise has been reworked. It is now a passive ability which will make Treant invisible after standing next to a tree for 6/5/4/3 seconds. While invisible you will move 16/22/28/36% faster. You will become visible again after you either move away from a tree for 0.75 seconds, or if you hit a hero. Hitting a hero will root the enemy for 1/1.4/1.8/2.2 seconds. This attack can't miss. Overgrowth: Now requires Aghanim's Scepter to deal damage. Aghanim's Scepter: Can now be purchased on the hero. This will grant the Eyes In the Forest ability and make Overgrowth deal 175 damage per second. Eyes In the Forest: Target a tree to enchant it, making it give vision to your team. If you cast Overgrowth enemies close an enchanted tree will also be affected, no matter were Treant Protector is. If an enemy has a Gem of True Sight they can see which trees are enchanted, and use an item or ability to chop that tree down. did you know, treant's ulti can be upgraded by aghanim's scepter, treant protector will have the skill of Eyes of the Forest, it is a single target to trees, when activated it will enchant a tree that grants 600 vision range, also when cast his ulti, will damage 175 per second on the nearest tree being enchanted, and his 3rd skill is not passive anymore, its a single target that will heal allies and grants 80 block damage(note: living armor can able to cast globally and can cast on the minimap)

when u bought aghanims for treant, u will have another skill called eyes in the forest, targeted only for trees, basically it's like a wards and if you casted overgrowth units within 700 radius of the tree will be entagled. just for those who dont know, dont be butt hurt

Treant is so awesome, i love every bit of the supporting i do. I barely die, stay stealthy and provide help to my teammates. Its a great support and if you know how to play him you can end games without even having one t3 of your base down. I played 7 games and 6 were wins plus i died like 2 times or 0 times on each game. Great hero.

Tide's Ravage (lvl3): 450 dmg . Hit units will fly for 0.52 seconds before the real stun is applied (2.77) (total stun = 3.29)

you're right, but i might add that if the hero balanar wants to atack is in a 900 range of roof, then he will still benefit from the bonuses mentioned above.

Night Stalker can basically turn day into night and prolong the night with his ultimate, which means that Tree's aura will no longer be global. Which means, that hero across the map no longer has 5 armor or what not that would help reduce damage from Night Stalker's attacks. He basically can remove five armor from his opponent from casting his ultimate.

If his Leech Seed increased mana cost as it levelled (such as 95/110/125/140), a second skill build would become available, where you get one level on Leech Seed, and then max out Nature's Guise for ganking along with Living Armor for general support. The thing is that slow and duration is not affected by level on Leech Seed, making him still capable of ganking, while maintaining mana.

Hate to break it to everyone but the original version was Bulbasaur from pokemon. Both have a ability called leech seed.

they added him because he's one of the best supporters in dota, with an ultimate made to turn tides if used wisely. If you think this hero is useless, that says something about your thoughts regarding dota... oh yes, forgot to mention dota is a team game, not a 1-2 players game as you may have experienced in pub games.

I get the living armor skill... It is based on how plants generate their "food"...they gather carbon dioxide and release oxygen at day and at night they release carbon dioxide and gather oxygen...I don't know if I'm making myself clear but whatever...

League Of Legends version of Treant Protector He was a little more offensive though, since his ult reflected damage instead of rooting for 3 seconds

Techies can be countered by dusts/gem/sentries and after that he is obsolete. Also note that outside pubs he is trash. A couple stuns/nukes kill him instantly. Nuf said.

You're loosing the overall picture: Roof is a str support hero, while Balanar is a Str Carry hero; to make it easier to understand, i think you've already noticed how easy is to land a solo kill with Balanar, and how hard is with other heroes( including Roof), and mostly because his skills are made for solo hunt and kill, especially during the night. Also, coming to judge the early game, the 5 health regen and armor are indeed a great boost during the day for roofs team.

let me give u a brief summary of how dota started... dota started out as a mod of WC3 in 2003 and was developed by Guinsoo. Guinsoo gave the mod to Icefrog and made him in charge of the dota scene. 5 years later Icefrog, Guinsoo and RiotGames helped in the development of a new game called League of Legends. There were a few champs when it first came out and ALL of them were based on dota with a few tweaks, since guinsoo recommended it himself. Care to comment? Hmm, I think my work here is done

teches is the easiest hero to counter since you only need a cheap item called gem of true sight. Also most of the pub players can't really play him and plant mines at the most obvious locations, so it's SO MUCH easier to beat him. And don't forget that he is not a real dmg dealer so if you fail as a teches you essentialy leave your team -1 for the late-game teamfights.. so let him come to dota 2 I say. So easy to beat..

No, it's based off of Dota - an original WC3 mod which is the predecessor of ALL Moba games. Of course, this means there are MANY similarities between them, and people like to bitch and complain about it. Which is something I don't understand. I mean, both CoD and Battlefield have AK-47s, yet I don't see anyone complaining about one ripping off the other there. Computer gaming is a strange, strange world.
