Dota 2 Hero Spotlight - Ymir the Tusk

Changes to Tusk have been made since this video was released. This list will contain those changes (not including number changes, since they are very frequent) Snowball: No longer automatically pulls in allied heroes. When activated it will also either wait 3 seconds or until you activate the ability again for it to launch. During this time you can pull in your allies. Walrus PUNCH!: You now need to target a hero to use it. It also always deals the same amount of damage (350% of your damage). Aghanim's Scepter: Can now be purchased on the hero. This will give the Walrus Kick ability. Walrus Kick: Kicks a targeted enemy, dealing 350 damage and knocking it back 900 units in the direction Tusk is facing. The target is also slowed upon landing. that's when something called "animation cancel" comes into play. And originally Tusk has high animation backswing when casting his spells. This was made intentionally in DotA1 and be grateful that Valve did not forget that little detail.

Seal punch will occur when punching enemy hero. Polar punch will occur when punching enemy hero below 60%. Walrus punch will occur when punching enemy hero to their death. Penguin punch will occur when punching neutrals, creeps, or roshan.

this is how it works. if it is a x3 crit, then it is seal punch, x4 punches are polar punches, and killing punches are WALRUS PUNCHes

in dota 1 the snow ball cannot be broken apart until the caster stops it... and more the units inside the snow ball the more speed the snow ball gets that is why many people play dota 1 more

He can lay Invisible mines (Q Skill) that automatically explode when an enemy passes it and deals massive dmg in aoe.... as W he has a invis trap that stuns when enemys activate it by running near it... than his E skill kills himself and deals massive dmg (up to 1500 i think) and his R are Mines again but they are Remote, u plant them and can activate them when an enemy hero stands near it.. - or go to .playdotacom/heroes/goblin-techies

I get it! SEAL PUNCH is if they're above 50% hp, POLAR PUNCH is if they're below 50% hp, and WALRUS PUNCH is if the punch kills an enemy.

He's actually a really great mid hero that can outlane most standard mid heroes like SF Qop, storm or even to some degree NS and Huskar. He is very level dependent and can snowball pretty hard with kills (see what i did there?) If you can get level 9 early you pertty much kill everything in 1 combo. And from there you can progress into better items and play as a tanky initiator for the rest of the game

What if you're fighting someone that has haste as well? Slark can use his Shadow Dance and run, Slardar can use Sprint and run, list keeps going on. Obviously you aren't going to catch anyone that has blink like QoP/Antimage though.

the ideal build for tusk is 6 battle furies. ~1500-2000 damage crit on primary target, ~3000-4000 pure cleave damage on all secondary targets 100% fun.
