In my lifetime I have suffered the indignity and suffering of jail! I have been prideful in my enjoyment of achieving two college degrees, the first in four generations of my family! While I absolutely profess that I did not find God 25 years ago while I languished in jail! It was only by God’s gracious mercy that I was born of a woman that knew it to be her Christian duty to me and all of her children; from my childhood, to teach me of God’s grace!!! This particular song served to remind me of my Saintly Mother’s lessons … Not even God can turn me away … !!!

I am sitting in my office at the Church in which I am the Minister of Music and I am truly receiving a blessing! I remember being just a child and having CHURCH... You see the word Church is one of those very unique and versatile words. When I was a kid we would go to CHURCH, and we would have us some CHURCH but now I realize that the reason we would have such great services is because the folks who were coming realized that they weren't just coming to CHURCH but they lived their lives as if they were the CHURCH! We are in fact the CHURCH! We call the building we gather in a CHURCH, and we have services and such but when we realize that we are called to BE the CHURCH to a lost and dying world God will move on us again! That is my prayer, Lord draw us near so that we can worship you this way! Thank you Lord for when we get there... Oh What a Time it will Be!
