Dottie Rambo - Sheltered In The Arms Of God

This is an excerpt from an October 30, 2007 telecast. Dottie sang with a track taken from her new CD that WAS RELEASED IN SEPTEMBER 2009 AND IS AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE FROM www.dottierambo.net/store.html, that features (recently deceased) Porter Wagoner reciting some of the lines - very effectively. Emotion overcomes Dottie at the end, but of course the CD is studio-perfect. Jesus called Dottie's spirit and soul home about 2AM on May 11, 2008, when her tour bus crashed into a roadside embankment in Lawrence county, Missouri.

I love this video. Dottie Rambo is my favorite Christian vocalist. She has such a love for the Lord, & the Lord has poured out His Anointing upon her. I also love it when she sings while doing ASL sign language. It's so beautiful. May God bless her & her family Always.

Yes! I introduced Dottie to my mother in 1970 and glowed with pride as I watched them embrace and heard Dottie tell Momma what a fine son she had. My heart is heavy, but at 74 and living in constant pain, God knew it was time for her to be with Him. Pray for Larry, Judy, and Chris. Larry is still inconscious with both legs broken. She is so beautiful. She was friends of ours when I was a kid at madisonville ,ky at the lighthouse church on Weldon ave. Back in the 60's. I loved to hear her sing the good ole days have passed away and I couldn't call them if I tried. She really loved back then. She started recording about that time.🤗

Oh, how Dottie Rambo is missed but what a TREASURE of 2500+ gospel songs, recordings, videos, CDs, albums, etc. she left us. I don't know why such wonderful servants of God leave us so tragically. That bus accident that took her life in 2008 was so sad. However, she had suffered so much with back problems and a divorce and so many other things that now . . . PRAISE GOD . . . all those things have passed. She "kept the faith, finished the course and received the crown of life that our dear lord had laid up for her." May we all do likewise!

Dottie's "tired" face reflected the constant pain she suffered due to botched back surgery many years ago. Any freshening of her appearance you may have observed was due to the joy she felt at being back on the road singing for Jesus, assisted by Larry & Judy Ferguson and Chris Barnes, financed by love offerings and merchandise purchases by her legions of adoring fans. Her trust in people cost her all her money more than once. Her soul is at rest now, waiting for her new face and New Shoes.

I question such surface crap.What kind of people care about ones face? The absolute surface is nothing to people of character. They know it is what is inside that is of value. When I see her face that has naturally beautified with some change that shows life has passed over it. If we get our car painted, why shouldn't we keep our body in good shape, especially if it enhances the possibility of music like Dottie wrote and performed that ministers to the soul.
