Such a sweet and genuine lady. I remember, as a 14 year old boy, standing backstage at an "All Night Sing" at the University of Alabama Coliseum. I was about to go on stage and sing a song with a family trio that I only practiced with a couple of times. I have been singing since I was 6 yrs old but had never sang in front of a crowd that size and I was as close to stage fright as I have ever been. Somehow Ms. Dottie sensed I was nervous and walked up to me. She took my hand and said "Honey, don't you worry. God's gonna love hearing you sing." She said "Come on, let's pray." She prayed in such a way that I felt complete peace. She was a fantastic writer and a great christian lady.

This is such a beautiful song!. I always loved listening to Dottie Rambo. What an anointing of the Holy Spirit in each of her songs. I could sit alone with some anointed worship music and cry through each song. My tears could fill many bottles from just listening and loving the Lord. My heart overflows for the love of our Lord and Savior. Praise God for His Son Jesus Christ who on that Old Rugged Cross on the hill took on my sins and the sins of all in the world , He suffered and died so I could have life eternal. He suffered to pay for my sin debt with His shed blood. What else do we need but to be part of the circle of the most important; Jesus Christ.... Oh, Thank You Jesus for loving me!!.

I know Jesus is real. I was a hardcore atheist. Like Saul I was on my way to give Christians trouble. But one night the voice of God woke me up out of my sleep. He reached down deep into my spirit and let me know He loved me. He gave me his Salvation and from that moment on I possess perfect peace and God the Holy Spirit reigns supreme in my Heart! He no longer remembers my sin!

I love this song and the reference in the bible to our tears that God is storing up our tears for his grand purpose ! I just heard of Dottie Rambo's name earlier this evening and so I looked her up on Google and WOW she is everything I was told she is! Her talking here to Jerald is right on, when the Lord is going to use you the devil comes in like a storm to try to stop you every way he can ,but if you hold tight to the word of God and don't give in to temptation you will come out on top and become Victorious!

Back in the 70's I had the opportunity to sing this beautiful song on stage as the lead in group for Ms. Dottie Rambo and The Singing Rambos. My family's southern gospel group, The Barnhill Gospel Singers, was in a small town in North Carolina at the auditorium of Pembroke State University. Now you have to understand, my family was from a little township in Galivants Ferry, SC, and we had no idea that it was not proper protocol to sing a song of the group that was to be the main event. So we got on stage and sang our hearts out to this beautiful song. And I might add, I think we did a pretty decent job. LOL Being the gracious and beautiful lady that Ms. Rambo was, she entered onto stage and graciously thanked us for singing her song. She went on to tell us what a beautiful job we did and even singled me out to tell me what a wonderful job I had done. Well, being the old country folks we were (are), we graciously accepted her praise and you could just see the pride written all over our faces. LOL Can you imagine how we (I) felt when I found out it was not proper to sing that song!!! LOL We were so embarrassed, especially me. I was only about 15 or 16 years old and I could have just died of embarrassment. But you know the old saying, a country boy (girl) will survive......well, we did and lived to sing many more gospel songs as a small town group from an old country Free Will Baptist Church by the name of Mt. Trolly. I never got to sing on the same stage as Ms. Rambo again, but I will never, ever forget what a blessing it was that one time. Even though we messed up. LOL

He gifted her in a mighty way. No one could put pen to paper and paint a picture with words like Dottie did. I don't care what she may have done in her young years, Dottie had given her life to God and I know beyond any doubt that she has heard Him say "Well done my good and faithful servant." THANKS! If I could count the tears that have fallen It would seem like an ocean to me If my heart was a window you could look through Oh, the pain and scars you would see Tears will never stain the streets of that city No wreaths of death on my mansion door Teardrops aren't welcome beyond the gates of glory For the heart will never break anymore I question the loss of a loved one The grave seems so final and cold Oh, we'll meet again where death has no victory In a land where we'll never grow old Tears will never stain the streets of that city No wreaths of death on my mansion door Teardrops aren't welcome beyond the gates of glory For the heart will never break anymore I've never met one man without sorrow Never looked into eyes with no pain But I know a land where grief is a total stranger And songs of joy are the only songs we're gonna sing Tears will never stain the streets of that city No wreaths of death on my mansion door Teardrops aren't welcome beyond the gates of glory Cause the heart will never break anymore Repeat
