Yes that foot pedal engages the mower deck. If the belt needs replaced. It is a timing belt. So it's a specific belt. Remember to put one blade 12 and 6. The other blade will go 3 to 9. If you don't do this the blades will hit each other. I mow with a 63 I inherited from my father. love your channel. Good luck

Thanks. I guessed as much on the pedal. I did know they took a specific timed belt.

Hello From Kentucky. I think that the Cub Cadet Original just had the pull start and if my memory serves me correctly, That engine is a whopping 7hp and had a drive belt instead of the driveshaft like the later series Cubs had in many of the other tractors. Personally, I never did have any direct experience with the Cub Original like I did with the 70s and the 107s, 682s and the 1710 Cub Cadet tractors. I’m really surprised that you haven’t been contacted by collectors wanting to buy that Cub Original from you. A few years back, I can remember in Lexington KY that there used to be an old school Cub Cadet dealership that had one of the Cub Cadet Originals on the showroom floor that was absolutely perfect in every way. The gentleman that owned the dealership could recite just about any Cub Cadet part number that you could imagine. I really do miss places like that.

Growing up in the '60s, my grandfather had one of those Allis Chalmers on his farm along with a Farmall A and a new Jacobsen.

They are special. I had an F25 on an oliver for a bit. Used it to load out at an auction. I'm sure an F10 is much worse.

COOL finds, growing up about everyone had one of those Farmhands with the big hay fork. It worked good for picking up hay in the field, the bales really needed to be turned up on edge. We always had one on M or H FARMALL. 😊

If you had cattle before 1970 you definitely had a farmhand.

Neat old tractor whats the plan taking loader off I kinda think the loader makes that tractor and more easier to sell in my apinion
@tmonteIH3 ай бұрын
Really not in a rush to sell. Would like to get it running and operational first. Maybe take it to our local tractor show next year with the loader still on.

That tractor looks pretty bare bones. A standard tread tractor would be a good fit for a F10, more stable. There were a lot of F10's around here years ago but most were on row crop tractors with a narrow front. They maneuvered better but you could upset one pretty easy. We had one on a 620 JD when l was a kid.

Dad ran them on two cylinders a lot for neighbors. 720 LP row crop and 730 diesel standard.
