Nano tanks are best. You can fit them anywhere in your home, and they always look so lush because its kind of easier to scape smaller tank. And i almost forgot; you don't need to buy a new hous to fit them inside it.

Clever way of using those angled tweezers for planting! Totally stealing that!

I like the look of the plants on the older tree, however I like the root details of the new tree.

I have a waterbox 6 gal that I need to scape. It has been holding three mini ikebana-style planted glass bowls for 6 months. Love it but I need a change. And have a small bonsai tucked away. Thanks for doing this video! Really helpful for planning my project.

Mike, maybe you can consider using mini fissiden to cover these bonsai trees? I had great success with it!
@megnaro4 жыл бұрын
This looks cool and like it should be fun to watch grow out. At the end of the video I was thinking your water was looking kind of clouded, which may be the case as you're still getting it set up, but then I realized it's probably the white background. I know that the filter looked gaudy and I get wanting to cover it, but maybe black or blue paper would remove the 'milky' effect?

I sort of did something similar with rosewood I got from Aquashella last fall. It’s full of buce, and anubius nana petite. I have buce all around the base and dwarf hair grass and Erio Vietnam I’m the open space. This is all in a Waterbox 16.

Its affordable and gateway aquarium into the hobby. Dont get me wrong i love big tanks too. But this is more relatable to the average person. Im waiting for my plants to do something exactly like this :)
@daniel46474 жыл бұрын
I'll never understand people that have like a hundred tanks on racks in their garage or whatever. I mean, his tanks look nice but everything else looks terrible, but I guess it's a store or something. Much nicer to just have a nano tank on a shelf in the living room, like a living art lamp that adds moisture to the air. And it's also pretty zen to take care of and not a big job, especially when it's just plants. I can appreciate a big tank but personally I'd need that to be embedded in a wall or something as it just takes up way to much floor space and becomes too dominating.
@danny.sbill.054 жыл бұрын
@@daniel4647 interesting view. May I ask what you think abt people who have a lot of tanks on racks cause they breed fish?

I remember thus one. That lucky bamboo, the oase canister & that buce tree in particular are stuck in my memory You mentioned Ancient Gardens again…🥺 and again …😢 and again…😭 One question; when setting up a planted aquscape; is dechlorinated water also recommended or can you go straight from the tap & allow it to dissipate naturally?🤔

I like the look of the 'buse plant' but I dont like the tree its on. I dont like the flat bits. I would love to see those plants on the other tree the montecarlo is on. ( sorry if i spelt the name of the plants wrong). :)
@KimbiW4 жыл бұрын
I think the tree with the pedestals would look amazing with moss. And it would hide the flat bits better. Weeping moss would look amazing!

Mike, You made a tree with marimo balls torn apart. I'm wanting to try this and was wondering how well that worked. Did the marimba balls die? Did the marimba come off of the glue? Would it be better to tie them on? Thanks, i love your youtube videos and Ive learned a lot! Jenny in WV
@AQUAPROS4 жыл бұрын
Ive seen long term moss ball trees that look good, i think glue is just fine, if you tie em it might take a long while to hide the tie job. Glue for the win!
@csbwsb4 жыл бұрын
I like both trees but was sad you cut the roots off the Monte Carlo. Almost gave it a Spanish moss vibe. I agree, bigger or bolder fish needed to stand out from the trees. A black background would be good, too.
