A. Setting time
Pull the crown away from base of the watch and turn the crown clockwise until reaching the exact time.
B. Winding the watch
Push the crown back into place along the base of the watch and winding up the watch
clockwise rotation with 30-40 turns. The power will be full(Over winding will ultimately
break the spring). Do this one time each day (before sleeping). Otherwise, it will stop
working. Please do not over winding up the watch if you feel the crown is tight.

I just bought a nice pocket watch of of amazon and it was amazing but me not thinking right ,thought after a couple hours it was broken and something got stuck in a gear but it has taken all my life to realize until earlier that POCKET WATCHES NEED TO BE WOUND UP !. Many thanks for the review! I was considering buying one of their watches similar to this one, but wasn't sure how good it was or if the back gears were just a plastic plate (I took apart a cheap pocket my grandfather got and it was just a sticker sheet basically, no real gears)

I got 3 of these cheap mechanical pocket watches all 3 look very nice and have the same movement, one i carry on me all the time and is about 10 years old now, wound every day and still holds its time, considering the line of work i do I'm suprised its lasted as long as it has, but it has none the less, i recently cleaned it and oiled it and works like a charm, I'm suprised they keep thier time, i carry mine in the little pocket in my jeans the amount of walking i do a day and all that bouncing around you would think it would mess up escapement and slow it down and make it run fast but doesn't, the other 2 i have i use for special occasions as they do look very nice indeed 1 is a skeletal watch with several layers to the clock front and the glass on the front is magnified so makes it look big and 3d looking its amazing looking into it, i do like pocket watches and antique clocks.

Crowman not necessarily. Quartz watches are the most accurate watches on Earth. Just because you need to need to change a battery every few years doesn’t mean the watch is bad.

Crowman no. quartz watches don’t only run on batteries. They are regulated by quartz, batteries, and cogs. Search up “the inside of a quartz watch”

Not sure if I like these sort of steampunk design watches. Nice to see a mechanical watch at such a low price point but not a fan of the case. I have an actual railroad pocket watch from 1901 and they didn't look like that.

the button opens te rear cover, too. I have the "bronze" finish version of this watch. Keepsaccrate time,. You MAY haveto open the back, unsnp the rear plate of the case, and blow into the movement to get rid of fine lint, IF ("when"?) it stops runningbecause the lint is jambing it up somewhere. Skeleton watchesare very rarely if ever a quartz movement.Hadyu readthe description,you would know it is a manual wind watch. They also make automatic self-winding version. I believe that may be my next pocket watch purchase. Be aware that these will not last 100 plus years like the pocket watches of old. They have fewer jewles, and the tolerances are not as tight.. If it hoes for 5 to 10 years you got a good one. They are not worth taking to a watch maker for cleaning and servicing. That can cost hundreds of dollars. Stupid to spend that on a sub $20 watch. If you want a long lasting pocket watch, get a vintage one, or one of the high end name brand modern watches. For new watches there are the inexpensive Chinese ones, and expensive ones from other countries including Japan. There is no middle ground anymore.

How accurate is the watch? I got a mechanical double half hunter pocket watch from Sewor at Amazon and as half a day goes by it gains a couple minutes ahead or so(fractionally faster than the correct time). I was thinking that maybe the Sewor one was to much of a cheaply made product and there might be better mechanical watches or is that actually how they are for mechanical watch standards.

I just ordered one, not this exact model here, for $11, shipped. I hope the case is really metal as it says on the seller's page. It's also a mechanical so I hope it's quite accurate. If not then it's more faithful to old pocket watches that are pretty inaccurate, I guess.

They are not as accurate as a quartz but accurate enough, you have to wind them daily i do and reset the time, you can speed up or slow it down if its running out of sync in a day, i bought one recently that was running 4 mins slow a day, i unclipped the back and moved the lever on the escapement a tiny bit and now its spot on.

mine (bronze finish version) keepsgood enough time. Mine was gaining about 2 minutes a week, but i played with the adjustmet a little bit.the other day. It seems to be doing better now. Lifting the crown does not stop the watch, so it is difficult to set the second hand. when setting the time.

The fact that was an inexpenzive watch kind of shows wth the blue metal. Personally i skifk with watches with silver or golden cases. Obviously fake gold im not an aristrcrat. And with a white display ( not because im racist. Its just easier to see at night) but the mechanism is prety nice. I think its exactly like one of mine. Now i dont know how mich you paid for it. But for a cheap watch. Its pretty good. Though the paint might wear off eventually

Because it's a hastle,you have to look for one that's in great shape and that has been serviced recently,and they will also propably be more expensive than these ones.and some people really like the skeleton aesthetic too
