I have lived in Finland for 4 years and have also been to Rovaniemi/Lapland once, absolutely must once in a lifetime experience. Husky ride, Reindeer Ride, Igloo, Santa Claus Village and Post office, Northern lights, winter sports..it is truly Winter wonderland, Enjoy!!!

@@Rohan1994s First of all congrats on getting offer letter to study at Lahti, Finland. I have not lived in Lahti city, have passed through it while driving from Helsinki to Kouvola. They have good winter activities as I could see on the way. Lahti is just 1 hour drive from Helsinki ( capital city ). There are numerous Indian and Nepali restaurants in Helsinki, In Lahti you do have lots of Nepali restaurants, which is close match to Indian taste buds. Finnish older generations do not speak English at all, so there is big communication gap. Younger people speak good english and are open to talk at the same time they are reserved too, you have to break the ice first to talk. It is really wonderful country, and I advise you take this opportunity and make most of it. Best of luck!
