Not easy dude!! Alps are old & settled mountain range, more easier to work on in comparison to Himalayas. Whereas Himalayas is the newest range & continues to move & is still not stable, not at all easy to work, ask any geological expert. Having that ambition is great but knowing the ground reality also helps!!

Brother in these expensive European countries always carry self made sandwiches, cakes and fruits . If possible you can make pulav and carry it any where. Ingredients for sandwiches and pulav are easily available and affordable. Their cakes are delicious too , as there are numerous live bakeries.

Zermatt is the best place in the world. No pollution, no cars allowed. Loved it when I was there. You lucky man you got a reservation on this train. I was not able to get it. You need to do advance booking in summer for many days before. Just out of curiosity how can you afford this expensive place.. Are you related to Vijay Mallya.. hehehe

Ohh! I love the Glacier Express so much! Lovely memories (although very expensive). The food wasn't that expensive though (as per expectation). I had a Glacier Platte, orange juice and swiss chocolate ice-cream. It was around 35 CHF.
