That's a very nice build. Consider investing in an HVLP sprayer. I use it on all my furniture builds. Use a good water base paint and avoid the smell of shaker cans. Can you post a link for the barn door hardware? I like the round bar much better than rebar. Makes for a better design. Consider drilling the 3/8 holes slightly larger and the top hole 1/2 inch deeper. That way you can do all your painting and then slip the bars in place. Can save you a lot of time.

Great suggestions. I do have an HVlP but didn’t use it for this project. I thought about doing the bars removable but I wanted them to be tight and not move, that’s why I did it that way Here is the hardware I used. Thank you for watching. Yeah I agree with you. The client really wanted it heavily distressed and like i always tell my clients, “I won’t be seeing it everyday, you will, so it doesn’t matter what I think, it matters what you like.”
