Growing up in Hawaii and spending a lot of time in the ocean spear fishing and surfing I would have to say rip currents pose the biggest threat to swimmers.

Good tip, have a flotation device. Everyone should know how to float and tread water.

I was a lifeguard and the rule of thumb is save yourself first. Ensure you can stay up and swim away when they try to get too close. Tell them to stay calm. But you come first.

No. Your collection of African countries just force children to dive in dangerous waters for shells, oysters etc at 4am. You cut up albinos for potions, mutilate women’s genitals…shall I go on? 🤔 I have not even scratched the surface
