Per the Oxford Dictionary... conversate /ˈkɒnvəseɪt/ verb • INFORMAL • US _gerund or present participle: conversating engage in conversation_ "sometimes it's nice to be able to sit and conversate" If it's been added to the dictionary, it's a word; even if it's considered an informal verb and only used in US English rather than UK English.

@@KatiB5587 it might be informal American English ( & I use that term loosely) but what's wrong with talk/talked/talking ? Baby is born me and some friends goes up to the hospital then one of the friend’s niece was holding the baby and kept staring at the baby then looking at my son and his friend then she says this is not my son’s baby but the friend. Her mom had already told me at the baby shower get a DNA 🧬 so I asked the baby’s mother and she kept saying ok but never had her half of the money so one day they were at my house and I had already got a paternity test from CVS so while the mom was downstairs sleeping my daughter swabbed the baby and my son I sent it in and it came back ZERO % probably there wasn’t even any numbers on the rest other than 00000% and it said no need to test the mom lmbo so I waited and told her and she was mad! That's not how it works. He signed the birth certificate, a legally binding document accepting full responsibility for the child. Being blindsided by someone doesn't change the fact he signed her birth certificate and in doing so became legally (and therefore financially) responsible for her. Even if her mother knew he was not the biological father, she can still pursue child support payments not received prior to the child's 18th birthday. I don't believe incarceration is an appropriate punishment for someone not paying child support, but that's the law in many states and it needs to be followed without exception.
