It was actually helpful to see him "not helping" (lol) because this is reality and what we will have to contend with as well. Thank you.

Love the tutorial and how informative it is!! I've been going on hikes with my youngest (14 months) lately and I've been looking for a better way to wrap him as his weight and movements tend to loosen the way I was wrapping him and I would consistently have to stop to readjust/retighten!!!!

What do you do if you need to get him out and back in when your out and about? Can you do this without a mirror?
@OschaSlingsOfficial3 жыл бұрын
Hi Fiona, you have to unwrap and re-wrap this carry each time. You can definitely do any carry without a mirror, they're just helpful when you're first learning. If you'd like any more help or more details on getting your baby up and down then do email us or use the messenger function on the website. Or you could consider a full consultation with Laurna, details above x

What would you recommend for a 4 month old? I would like to carry him on my back. It's hard to cook with him on the front
@OschaSlingsOfficial2 жыл бұрын
If you are comfortable using a woven wrap and your baby has good head control and ideally can sit unaided then you could try a Ruck tied in front, keep it high up as this video shows - kzbin.info/www/bejne/d6nTqGaFmKaGrZY
@OschaSlingsOfficial2 жыл бұрын
Just to add to this - At 4 months old it's best to go for a high back carry like a ruck (as mentioned) and use a santa toss to get them up. If you're not an experienced wrapper it's worth asking a baby carrying consultant for help as you do need to be especially careful when back carrying younger babies. You could also think about a hip carry which might give you a little more freedom. Hope that helps!

I am adding a Oscha to the woven family this month. My base size 6. Would you recommend going up to a 7 for more supportive carries such as this?
@OschaSlingsOfficial3 жыл бұрын
Hi Leah, that's great, we hope you'll love your new addition! I think having a longer wrap on hand is a good choice (especially if you already have your Base Size) - it opens things up for more options. I like using a Base +1 for a DH as you have slightly longer tails, nice if you can position the knot so they sit at your hip too.

@OschaSlingsOfficial3 жыл бұрын
If she has good head control then that should be fine. If you haven't tried back carries before I would suggest you have a go at Ruck Tied in Front. kzbin.info/www/bejne/d6nTqGaFmKaGrZY Make sure she's settled, practice over a soft surface and take your time.

Alright, I'm in love with your videos! So I have two questions for you. One is there a wrap style that you would recommend for a baby that leans and tries to push away? The second one is what kind of wrap should I buy for a 6 months going forward? (I'd like to carry her when she is a toddler)

Yeah my baby kicks off everytime I rotate him onto my back and I don't know what to do next by which time he goes straight as a board, looses his seat and we have to start over :( I need something quicker that way can copy as I wrap. Watched it 4 times on my own first but it's not the same as when baby is there
