I’ve been doing these for about 6;weeks, or so. I’m not a metal drummer, but this has made my playing better overall. I just play along with this, and stay as relaxed as possible. I’m amazed at the progress

Really good exercise, each alone foot can make it up to 230bpm but not together:( which means skills but lack of control. Also interesting how at 170 I couldn't keep the pace clean but then at 190 ish my foot picked it up again, I guess has to do with control too. The voice you used for the speed is perfect lol is lowkey serious so it's like a challenge. Thank you haha

I'm not a drummer for a band, I'm usually guitar. But our drummer is out right now for some family problems, so I have to fill in. I can only make it to 140. Fcuk my life.

I just had shoulder surgery and my left arm is in a sling for the next 6 weeks. Since I can't play with my hands, I'm going all in on my double bass chops. This comment is for my personal progress.

5/23/23 160 BPM My left foot doesn't have the same ankle mobility as my right.

5/24/23 165 BPM I'm feeling more control. I sort of played 170 but I couldn't control it. I want to clarify that if I post a tempo, I played it smoothly, without dropping any notes, or getting slow.

5/25/23 165 BPM I was able to use my ankles for longer. 155 and up, I have to stomp with my entire leg. My hip flexors end up giving out. At right around 150, I was just coasting.

5/27/23 170 BPM Whoo! It felt like I was playing worse today, but I went faster than before. I guess being more critical of my technique helped me push further.

5/29/23 175 BPM I've been training with homemade weights in the heads of my bass drum beaters. They're pieces of bolts that I cut. 7/16" diameter by 1 1/4" long. They're HEAVY. I took them out today. I think that developing strength is important, but also finesse. That being said, I set a new record with the lighter beaters, but my playing was sloppier than usual. I think I need to adjust my spring tension and get more chops.
