I am glad that I found this post. Definitely like the looks of this bind off.

From a fellow software engineer that loves knitting, thank you for this useful video and all these double knitting tutorials! I enjoy creating my own designs but I am still learning the technique and these videos are very helpful.

I wanted to thank you for making your doubleknit techniques videos! This bind-off perfectly matched my method of cast on for a scarf. This tutorial was easy to follow and learn from. Oh, i was also able to do this bind-off with a crochet hook in lieu of a dominant hand needle for those of you familiar with crochet as well. ❤

This is EXACTLY what I've been looking for. Yours was the 7th double knitting bind off tutorial I've watched today and the first one to give me a clear concise method that actually looks good on the finished object! Thank you!

One of the most clear and concise double knitting videos I've watched...and I've watched a few as new to the double knitting genre even though I'm quite an experienced knitter, double knitting does require different techniques that I wasn't versed in. So thank you for this video and sharing your skills.

This is GENIUS! I have been so frustrated with my double stockinette bind off because all others stretched and warped the end so it didn’t align with the cast on edge. But this solved my problem and makes the edge look so clean and professional. Thank you!

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. When I bound off, my last row seemed to disappear. For example, if I were doing your swatch, when I bound off I went from two visible rows of white to one visible row of white.
@FallingbloxDesigns2 жыл бұрын
Exactly -- which is why you always do one more row than is in the pattern, rather than using the last row of the pattern to make the bind-off. Remember, the row that you're doing as a "prep" row for the bind off is actually the bind off itself, so if you don't do that row, you'll end up one row short on your pattern.

Hi do you cast on for double knitting?
@FallingbloxDesigns2 жыл бұрын
I've got a video for that too, at kzbin.info/www/bejne/bpaXq6R-qbqhhsk

Why are the knits slipped knitwise?
@FallingbloxDesigns3 жыл бұрын
Trial and error, largely. I found that slipping the knits knitwise made for a cleaner look than slipping all the stitches purlwise. If you find otherwise, you're welcome to slip them purlwise instead.
