Love the double knitting demos. They make me want to try this again. My first attempt did not have the greatest of edges. Also, it took forever so I really appreciate you showing how you purl to make it go faster. I'm seriously gonna have to try it again. Cause you're making it look so easy.

Thank you so much for your video! I needed some additional thoughts on how to proceed with learning this skill. Would it be possible for you to make a video with a bunch of your double knitting projects so we can see some different ideas for various ways to use this? Seeing a finished project is much more motivating to me. Thank you!

Thank you for sharing this tutorial, but what if we are finishing a project that does not require an I-cord? How do we finish those last three stitches?
@donielleshowvaytheknitting16510 ай бұрын
Thanks for asking! You would just continue to use Kitchener as on previous stitches until you reach the end of the row. Then cut the yarn and weave in the ends neatly.

If one were following a pattern that didn’t have that contrast stripe at the bottom, would you just knit the dark stitches with the dark yarn or would you skip that step and go right to Kitchener stitch?

You’ll need to knit across just one side of the fabric first before using kitchener to graft. So without the contrast for your pattern, you would use the dark yarn on dark and then kitchener with the light color.

Why are you putting the dark stitches on the two needles knitwise through the back loop and then knitting through the back loop? Couldn’t you just do the dark stitches on purlwise just like the lighter and knit normally?

I really like your videos but I strongly prefer that you don’t have on background music bc its very distracting while I’m processing your lessons.

Thank you for the advice! I’ll keep it in mind for the next time I make another tutorial. 😁
