Double LEGO Corner Garage with Interior!

Today I double the size of the LEGO Corner Garage Modular building! As of late, I have been doing this a lot with other modular buildings, but this time instead of expanding the width I expanded the height. The garage now has two additional floors with custom interiors and a new story!

For building lore to make sense you can say Dr. Jones and her husband, Joe, own the building. They decided to split up the building to best accommodate both of their businesses. The Vets office, for Dr. Jones, and the mechanics garage, for Joe. They also decided to live on the top floor of their building because of its beautiful view of the city

It’s funny because as you were talking about what to do with the upper floors of the garage I was thinking of the same thing you came up with. The kennel and doggie daycare came to mind. I think it makes a good story. It looks great.

I really enjoy your double wide buildings, it really allows you to make the space more usable. You always do a great job with floor plans it makes me want to buy double sets. The police station is my favorite build. I built my corner garage as the strait garage on rebrickable and I love it.

I know its kinda odd, but a fun little "Story" you could do with this is add the Cruella Deville minifig as apart of this set. Just for a fun little bit of story.

One suggestion: You could also use the pillar of the room to make some sort of skyscraper, so that it blends with the city ;) Think about it, and keep up the great work! ;)

Looking good! I feel the bowling ally is out of place in the sky scraper district. You could swap that with the corner garage since there is an open plate currently next to the garage and then the hospital could go next to where the corner garage gets placed and it would hide the ugly back side of the hospital because of the other tall buildings around it. Just a thought. I’m sure what ever you decide it will be great. Thanks for the entertainment I watch every morning while I drink my coffee and have toast.

Love what you’re doing with the modulars. For the slot that the construction site is currently in you could put the town hall there (presumably you’ll be upsizing that too) and turn it into an old school town square. You’re right about the plain walls but that could be part of your mod since town halls are often standalone, in Europe at least.

If you are going to adjust the bookstore, maybe on one or two floors (one for the bookstore and two for the apartments possibly) would put them around the same height as the Conner Garage. You wouldn’t have to change them, just add to them. I do know that’s a lot of pieces to add 1 or 2 levels to 2 baseplates.

Honestly if it was me I’d add a second garage door at least but I believe what ya did is still awesome I do believe putting the hospital where the construction site is is a great idea just be sure the ambulance doesn’t/can’t park on the tracks

Love the corner garage right where it is. You don't need all the tall buildings next to each other. Cities always have random tall buildings in low density areas.

Wow, I am just finishing my 32x48 modular car dealership MOC with almost 5500 pieces. It is absolutely massive, but compared to the double corner garage it looks so small :D

That whole space that the construction site and Exxon gas station should be given to the hospital. Makes the most sense there. Construction site could work as a placeholder skyscraper.

What kinda bugs me on this set is that it's probably one of the smallest built footprints of all modular buildings - and of course I'm not counting the fuel area as "built" footprint. And because of the small size, someone most go thru the vet to reach the apartment. Then I see what you did to it, and finally this building makes sense! EDIT: I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes the variety of Friends pets to add to my own city.

I think it need more petrol gas. Bowser's out the. Frunt to than just. One .petrol station has station s have more. Than one. Even old school. One s in 70 s 80 s had. Like 2 or 3 ..out the frunt. 😊

@@countrabricksbuildcraze8916 Agree. Sometimes I feel this is one of the official buildings with the biggest wasted area. One or two extra pumps would fit easily there. Although I still prefer if they actually made the building area larger (and I still feel another pump would still fit there).

you could wall off the staircase to the upper level, so it doesn't go through the garage. Also you can add a railing on the roof with a green space to let the dogs outside.

Bricksie, I just have the new catalog. The Friends has a funny one, they take set 41747 and put 41748 on top of it, while the original roof garden is put to the side of it. Might be something for you to think about, since that makes it five floors height. But what can you do with set 43202? Could you use two or more, to better tie the Italiaan set, into the city? I do think you could use set 41717 for you Zoo. I think that set, two times, might work quite well for you, lets you add to entrance main building, pillars. But set 41705 might actually help you with your Jazz Club it's pizza place. And 41716 would give you a second sail yacht. So take a look at them, you might be able to do something with them.

I love everything you do, but in my opinion the black and white skyscraper is a no from me. I think it just draws to much attention to it up the front where you have it. Almost like it needs to be towards the back. Just my opinion 🤷🏻‍♀️ Love love love the veterinarian office story with the inside details

You can put the new hospital where the construction site is now and kind of have like a middle drive-through of the hospital (almost like it's on stilts). It would look good from all angles, be something new and cool, and connect the roads!

I really liked the pub, that was a great build. I dont think you enhanced anything by destroying the pub to make a larger corner garage. Should have left that alone too. Just because you can, doesnt mean you should. Not really fussed with the skyscrapers either. I think they take away more than they add

Definite signs out of space.. take Set's we've made content on before (probably three or four videos) then wait a period of time and canablise them to make taller versions and also free a space on. So a few more videos can then be made again.
