I purchased 2 CB's - came from separate stores/cases - one box had a value of $500+ (textured lily, foil borderless FoN, borderless Mana Drain, bunch of other stuff in the $20+ range). Box 2 was under $200 with a borderless foil W&6 and a foil etched Animar as the big hits - Grand Arbiter etched was the next biggest hit at like $15...the box had 3 Marchesa's in different treatments. Not complaining, just pointing out the massive swings and duplication in the boxes. Love the set overall, would buy more if I had more disposable income.

Also like anything its a game of averages. The more you open the less likely you are to get really burned. It seems like a case of these gives you enough range you come out ahead with a very high certainty. Lot more risk of opening up only one box and even more risk by only opening one pack. This item really is for whales and mass box openers. I don't think the average consumer should purchase this product unless they are willing to take a total loss. At which point is basically just gambling.

It got right up to the point where I got a notification saying my order was 9 stops away from the delivery address and it stayed there for days, then Amazon canceled it. Can someone explain to me what the poit of buying these at $100 a pack? Even the foil borderless cards are running $50 on tcgplayer. I understand theres the chance of several mythics or the textured cards but it seems the chance to loose money at that price is almost guaranteed.

There's no doubt this set has bangers in it for sure, though this case cost roughly around $2500 to $3000 and this did not break even. We can't judge value based of how many mythics we crack anymore, that used to be a viable way to judge packs/boxes. Now with so many rares equating to more value than some mythics that count doen't make or break a box. It's strickly based on value of each card now, these are still hit or miss, and it's sad that this will be another "winner" for WOTC/Hasbro and they will continue to raise prices of product from here on out.

If it's really one per case, wouldn't it make sense for stores to crack boxes until they hit the textured, sell the rest of the boxes / packs and move onto the next case? Or is it 1 per 8 boxes on average and you could get 2 or 0 in a case too?

One per case is the average, so you could absolutely end up with a case that has zero (or two!) textured foils.

I don’t think so. Think of it like the neon Hidetsugu. You get a 3% chance to crack one and you have a 20% chance to get the one you’re after.

There are some slots that are guaranteed to be rare/mythic borderless and a slot for etched cards. Not every card gets either of those treatments giving some cards more chances to show up over others.

@@mfdoom1898 There are 4 slots in each pack dedicated to common/uncommon borderless cards and only 30 total cards to pull from for those 4 slots. 9 commons and 21 Uncommons fighting for 4 guaranteed slots in every collectors booster. Thats 128 cards per case that can only be 1 of 30 cards.

Foils are designed to be flat in a about 50% humidity environment. You need to double sleeve them immediately and press the trapped air out with something heavy if you don't have stable conditions. You can try to "repair" it if you put your foils in a sealed container with a moisture removing or moisture providing pack for several weeks. (Depending on which side it is curled towards.)

From my darft experience here 2 kind of draft boxe (One form Japan, the other USA): Foil lightly curves, but this humidity is relatively high, so will probably curve a lot next winter (30% or less humidity) if left unprotected (Both version, Usa and Japan). Etched, on the other hand, are super flat. Since those were draft boosters, we did not get textured.

You don't really need to speculate once you start a relationship with God. Can't get a response from God? Fasting can help increase your perception and prayer can help initiate events. God will ignore you if your prayer does not align with His purpose (James 4:3) or if you are approaching Him when "unclean" (Isaiah 1:15, Isaiah 59:2, Micah 3:4). Yep. The first box i opened was the same. The other ones made up for it so im glad I didn't cut my losses and stop but it was not a good feeling. It's tough to spend so much on 4 packs with a potential for such low value. You could walk away with a few bucks if you hit the wrong cards. Its high roller that's for sure.
