My mom made an afgan with the popcorn stitch . It was beautiful and very heavy. We live in the Midwest and had no night cold enough to get cold under it even without heat......well we didn't need it even warm in the house for that Afghan. It was a varying popcorn stitch every other row. I loved it. She crocheted a few that year. I did one block and it wasn't as hard as both mom and gma said it would be.

I really want to do this one. I want to do in memory of my mommy, I live her and miss her . My gma and mom thought is was going to be hard teaching my to crochet because I am a lefty. But it wasn't hard and to be real , it is like mimic their move naturally. Looking at them while sitting across from them made it so I just had to do it like they did. Oh and yes you , I did it tight.

I really really loved this one. I'm going to try it as soon as i settle in my new home :) I need some help though... Do you have any videos on how to bind the blocks together. I'm sorry, i've never done that before and i have no idea. Also, I am thinking about using the popcorn stitch to make a woollen hat. I think it would look great. I have never done this before either so i could use a little bit of advice on that too, if it's not much to ask. Thank you Grandma!!!

I have been looking for a pattern for my bed. I have seen many but wanted something different & I think I found it cause it seems it would work up fast but when people see it they would think it took you months. Since the blocks are lg how many do you think I would have to make for a queen size bed. Just ruffle would help. Thank You & God Bless.
@CreativeGrandma
@CreativeGrandma 7 жыл бұрын
I think it would be 48 blocks as this on is 20 blocks so the next size would be 5 x 6 = 30 then it goes to 6 x 7 or 8 which is 42 - 48 blocks, 5 across x 6 down would be aprox 63 x 75, 42 blocks would be 6 across x 7 down which would be approx 75 x 88 inches , 6 x 8 blocks would be approx 75 x 92 this is close to what the sizes would be I hope that helps

@CreativeGrandma
@CreativeGrandma 7 жыл бұрын
it all depends on what yarn and hook size you use, plus it depends on the stitch pattern you choose, so this is not a easy answer.
