Learn how to carry on downhill after a slide. Your front leg is leaning forward and your back leg is straight,in the slide, swap that around.... Start practicing toe side slides too

sick video as always Jon. Crazy how you initiate the slide without bending your backfoot, but it seems to work =) Your takeaways are absolutely on point ! Did you try negative rake? I like it a lot cause your lower to the ground and the tail of the board seems to drift/slide more easy. Maybe not the best for downhill, but in fast freeride i like it. Feels completely different . (Caliber III`s 158mm both 44° Baseplate)🛹🛹🛹

Thanks and have not tried negative rake yet. Just switched trucks on all the boards so need a little time to get use to them, but once that’s done-all good for trying negative rake. Hmm. I think I have 158 mm Caliber back in CA and all are 44 degrees, so will bring that set back next time. Will be trying some standys tomorrow with Bear 157mm on my Comet board…eh…we’ll see how that goes. Going to be wearing chest protector and full helmet .

@@cantskate5535 looking foward to the standy video =) The comet is very flexy... stiffer board is maybe better imo. For standys that will be the best protection gear to lose some fear before trying the first time. I was scared as hell when i tried a toeside. Furtunatelly i had powell snakes on the board so it was buttersmooth, and worked first try. But i watched maybe 50 videos on how to do a proper standy and did 100 trys on carpet with the deck only. That helped a lot too. 🤘🛹🛹🛹
