Its working on airpods pro 1st gen too, but only, when you're charging them wirelessely, when charging by cable it doesn't work(imo this have a sense, bc if you have wire connection you can just click the button on the bottom, when charging wirelesselly you can't lift them, because the charging will be stopped)

i did know this! and you only need to tap one time. and with the 2nd gen AirPods Pro, it does it while charging wired. but the AirPods Pro 1st gen, it has to be charging wirelessly to do that.

all u need to do is to move the case. u dont need to tap it .. i’m not entirely sure but i think the airpods case is equipped with an accelerometer or gyroscope or something
