TEST THOSE USED BATTERIES BEFORE THROWING THEM AWAY! When it was time to change batteries, I took the 2 batteries out of the camera and tested them, come to find out that 1 battery was completely drained and the other battery still had plenty of power. Just to make sure, 2nd time it was time to change batteries and the same thing happened - 1 dead battery & 1 battery still had plenty of power. Get a battery tester and test those batteries before throwing them away.

Nice video. So I'm curious how the system is working out for you. Also I have one of my blink cameras setup in my backyard. It has been telling me for about 3 months the battery is low and needs changed, yet it still keeps recording any movement as if it has brand new batteries in it. When I purchased this blink camera system I was curious to test the 2 year life that the batteries were supposed to last. Obviously the camera with the most activity didn't last a full 2 years but I still try to change all the batteries at the same time for keeping better track of battery life. Have you ever used rechargeable batteries or the solar panel? Thanks for the video and your input

The system is still working great. I've only had it in place for about 5 months, but no issues. All the cameras are showing 'OK' battery status - but that's not surprising after only 5 months. I haven't tried re-chargeables in them, mostly since they explicitly state to use lithium batteries and I suspect most rechargeables will have slightly lower run-time on them (but as I said, I haven't actually tried it yet). Also haven't used the solar panel option, primarily because I don't have suitable sun exposure where my cams are placed. So, ask me in another year. haha!

My battery last 2 weeks, I live on a busy side street we’re the whole city turns down. And it always catch the cars even tho I set not to see the road lol

I will say that the Lithium batteries this kit comes with do not last as long as Energizer Ultimate Lithium cells...for what it's worth. If you have daily sun exposure on your cameras, you could add the solar panel option and not have to worry about short battery life

I'm just over 29 months on my first set of lithium batteries

Skip this. Use the $87 iTodos 3 pack solar kit for obviously 3 Blink Outdoor cameras. Zero batteries to buy. It comes with its own rechargeable batteries built in, is weatherproof, was stupid ez to connect and has worked for me with zero issues for months.

Not a bad solution as long as they can get some sun each day, but it also does make the cameras a bit less discreet - which might also be a consideration.

The link is just for batteries?

The Amazon link is for the battery expansion pack modules, which also includes 12 Lithium AA batteries.

@@ReeWrayOutdoors Not in the UK my friend, link just takes you to Energizer batteries 🙃

@@Budget-Cars-And-Bikes oh wow! What are the chances it'd be battery related?! Maybe you could try searching "Wasserstein blink battery expansion"?

This seems pointless, if you have access to the sunlight blink sells there own solar panels with camera, right now on Amazon there is a three pack with blink branded solar panel and camera 3 cameras and a sync module, and is about $260 with tax and shipping, that’s is a better deal than having 4 batteries installed.

Yeah I agree...as long as your cameras have access to direct sun

I am a new subscriber so I didn’t know what exactly this video was about. I have never seen a blink camera so I guess this video was not for me, but it might have been nice if you had talked about the camera a bit maybe there are more viewer as ignorant as me.

Sorry - yeah, even though I tend to focus more on solar/power station/travel gear, I do review a variety of things on the channel and did a video on the Blink cameras (vs Arlo cameras) a year or so ago. This was kind of a follow-up to that and I probably should've been more clear in the intro about that. :P
