I recently read something interesting. In the wild, the budgie chicks, leave the nest and are independent by 4 weeks. However, pet budgies take 6 weeks to leave the nest. That means it is a huge stress on the pet budgie’s body. You can remove the some eggs from a female budgie ( therefore she only has to raise less chicks or just one)she is a determinate layer ( lays 6 eggs and stops) but, cockatiels are indeterminate layers, it would be dangerous to remove their eggs, because they keep replacing them till they have 6 in total. In that case you could addle the eggs so they won’t hatch or use dummy eggs. Good luck with your new flock, yes, a huge responsibility, waiting for an update!

I have 6 budgies and one of them started to appear little moving (Kind of lazy) and sleeping a lot and he has a little poop stuck around his butt and he fluffing his feathers as if he were cold but the temperature is not cold it Normal . Even the other five birds do not fluffing their feathers like he do . and his poop is viscous liquid . I think he has diarrhea. Can you make a video about diarrhea in budgies Symptoms, treatment and prevention . Or just tell me what to do, please . Please I don’t want to lose my feather friend . My family does not allow me to take him to the vet 😢 ((Sorry if I wrote something wrong, English is my second language)) Thank you 💖🐾

RoRa 305 if you can please put separate the budgie from the others, into a small separate cage ( covered with a blanket, but allowing air to get in) or a box ( that it can move around a bit in - add something low it can stand on - make sure that air can get in - but the budgie cannot escape). Give it clean water in a clean water dish. Give it seeds, in a clean dish, make sure it has access to the seeds by changing them daily. Try to offer vegetables ( remove after 2 hours - so not to get mouldy), millet is excellent budgies love it, it’s good for a sick budgie to put on weight. Keep the box/cage in a warm area, keep it dark for the budgie. Do not disturb it much, but, to check it’s food and water. Hopefully, he/she will recover. The bird needs rest to heal, if it has a chance to recover. Don’t forget it. Good luck.

I'm sorry but sounds like your Budgie is unwell & needs attention by a vet, could be lacking in a certain vitamin/s or has an infection of some kind, your parents will have no choice but to get your pet seen to, I'm sure they won't want it on their conscience if your Beautiful feathered friend got worse, or maybe someone else in your family, another adult,Auntie, uncle, cousin, grandma or grandpa could help take your Budgie to the Avian Vet, I hope all goes Well, please keep us updated if you can xx

RoRa 305 No, but, thank you, wish that were true. Please watch this kzbin.info/www/bejne/gYOwdKOvopeDfrs. Also, search Denny the budgie respiratory infection ( she has birds, and trouble -before-getting to vet). Do try your family again, for vet visit, if you can. Search also, Puff pets hamster care notebook - you can follow this to keep records on each of your birds. That way, if you do make it to the vet, you have some answers to questions, the vet will ask. Tip: I find watching videos on other pets, I learn things I can use for bird care too.

Pleas offer him a following formula : Take a ginger choppe it and boil some fresh water when the water starts becouming hot add some chopped ginger in it and ( add some soufe and ejwain ) Make it hot and thane go to you're sick budgie remove the pot of water and make him thursty he or she will start finding water but she or he will not find it thane offer him the ginger water he or she will drink it fast as possible Continue thithi prosses till he or she will not become healthy May God ssve him and protect him from every single sickness Not even only you're 6 budgies 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏💐💐 get well soon 😊 your Your friend

I female lutino budgie laid eggs for the first time. She laid 9 eggs of them only 1 hatched and the other 8 were infertile. Can you make a video on why eggs are infertile?

Budgies short life span is due to overbreeding. The wild ones over Australia live 3x more.
