The plaintiff says she booked a party hall from the defendant for her child’s birthday party, but the defendant double-booked the room. She’s suing for her money back. The defendant admits he made a mistake but claims the plaintiff got into a physical altercation with the other party. He also says he offered a refund.

The plaintiff didn’t tell the entire story, her body language(rolling eyes)towards the judge said it all. She went in that party and caused a ruckus and the other party handled it. Was the defendant wrong? Yes, but the plaintiff was, too.

You are spot on! I was almost going to buy her story because that situation would be BS and it was the Defendant’s mistake, but she couldn’t even control her attitude in COURT, there’s no way she was sweet and understanding when she was getting screwed over and “disrespected”. I’m always surprised at the people that can’t even have self control for 20 min.

She probably was ranting and raving about her party as she tried to collect her decorations. The people probably just took a cue from her attitude and started being rude back. Because at that point, she’s making them uncomfortable and ruining their child’s birthday. I definitely believe she was the aggressor.

The problem is he thinks that reimbursing money for not providing a service is sufficient. She is out more money than just the venue. I am not justifying her actions as accidents do happen but the result is that nobody got to enjoy a party despite being invited. As for the judge saying that if the one party was until 6p and not thinking 8p would be offered (around 11:30), I do as it would take time for guests to leave (rarely anybody leaves on time, then there is the clean up and then allowing her to set up the room before it starts. That all takes time so I could see the defendant offering an 8pm start time.

The plaintiff said she bought certain things online so I can see her taking money out for the rest of her necessities. I had a cake maker take it upon herself to spell check my daughters name on her birthday cake when I specifically spelled it out 3 times. I was so upset and in disbelief that someone could be so ignorant to do the opposite of what they were looking at. If something that little upset a parent I can only imagine how livid the plaintiff was after putting all her time and money into her child’s birthday party. How hard was it to look at a reservation book and jot down the times booked. This man obviously is no professional if he screwed up putting times down on a calendar.

The last 3 years of her life, I got her absolutely hooked on watching TPC every afternoon just to see if her decision would match JMM; almost every single time, they 👍 agreed. The only timkes I have been in "altercations" is to defend myself from further harm ie being attacked. I would never initiate violence. It is not worth it. There is too much to lose. for example, if you are convicted of ABH, GBH etc, this can preclude you from getting certain types of jobs.

Her disposition and her attitude clearly shows you that she is not a pleasant person to deal with. She came off as a liar. She had many holes in her story, & she was rolling her eyes at the judge. If you can’t keep your emotions under control while talking to a very prominent judge, what makes you think that she would compose herself for any type of real disrespect? Example … the “aggressor” that she met with when she was “only checking in her decorations that “she knew” were obviously a different color than the party that was there lol. Use logic. Who would not take pictures of a swollen face and black eyes if you knew damn well on your heart and soul that you were going to sue after all of this ? I mean, after all, she is the PLAINTIFF. It’s not about RACE. People always wanna being race into the equation. It was her attitude and the lack of respect. Let’s use some logic here. It only takes a small bit of common sense. lol

I don't believe her. She's very mouthy. It's very hard to believe it hasn't caused her trouble. Notice how she didn't mention her injuries until the defendant mentioned the other familys injuries? She looks like has she million selfies in her phone but she doesn't have one of her being assaulted? Her credibility is shot. That's why the judge doesn't believe her. She escalated the situation because she was mad and wanted to ruin the other family's party. That's just who she is. Very hard to believe this is an isolated incident.

@@GreenChronicles561 take a breather. You have to pick your battles and this person's not worth it. I believe the plaintiff went in the party and shared a few harsh words to the other party members, and then they started fighting. The plaintiff should have stayed home and had her child a regular birthday party. He is 2 , he won't remember or cherish nothing anyway until he is 10. She should have waited and went all out on his 10th birthday and had a small party for him. That party was for her and her family, they were not thinking about that child. And if a toddler's birthday party is $3000 then something is off!
