Thank you for uploading a clear tutorial of this lovely decorative stitch pattern. The two colour patterning adds more interest and more options re colour combining. Excellent use of the close-ups and good yarn choice, plus easy to see knitting needle placement. Glad to see the right-hand throw technique too, easier for me to follow. Thank you.

The video and the written instructions don’t match. Row 3 is different from the video in the written instructions. Should Row 3 be as you demonstrated: Row 3 (Color 1) K2, Knit under, *K1, Knit under *, K2? Or should it be as your written instructions state: Row 3 (Color 1) *K2, Knit under*, K2? I love your videos and learn so much from them.

Thank you for teaching this beautiful stitch pattern. To help out other novice knitters like me, it would be helpful to clarify the written instructions for row 3 as follows: Row 3: knit 2, * knit under, k1 * to last two stitches and k2. Thanks again!
@JoannesWeb2 жыл бұрын
Please watch the video. It has to do with picking up and knitting a stitch from the previous row.
@kMeijer2 жыл бұрын
@@JoannesWeb watching the video is what cleared up the confusion. The written instructions currently say “ * K2, knit under *, end with K2” Perhaps I am mistaken, but I thought the written instructions, as currently written, meant to repeat what is inside the asterisks, which is K2, knit under. I sincerely mean no disrespect - just thought you would like to know if this is an error or could be clarified. Personally, I watch the video to make sure I can do what is required, and then I follow the written instructions. At any rate, your channel is loaded with quality content, and I very much appreciate all that you share; thank you!

We will have an increase and a decrease videos, very soon. For this stitch, you can (knit front and back) on the first stitch and (front and back) on the stitch before last. You'll not be able to follow the 2 stitch pattern until you add another stitch on each side.

Hi, I've just made a blanket using this tutorial and it looks lovely! The only problem I have is that the edges curl over, is there a way to stop this happening? I'm about to embark upon my second blanket! Many thanks, Jane
@JoannesWeb6 жыл бұрын
Yes. Every time you make a blanket or scarf, you need to do garter or seed stitch at the beginning, end and edges. At least 4 on each edge. Now that you have knitted it, I suggest making a crochet edge, all around. That will look really nice,

I cast on color 1 and then knit a row. Then do I knit in color 2? Or do I knit once more with color 1, knit in color 2 and them begin the pattern? I'm trying to figure out how to start.

I figured out my issue! On row 3 I was k2, knit under the whole time. It is start k2, *k1, k under*, end k2. It was said clearly in the video but I didn't notice before.

You start knitting the row with the new color. Make a small knot so it doesn't slip. Leave a long tail so you can weave it in later.

Good day. Can you explain how to decrease using this pattern please? Not only at the beginning of a row but also in the middle.
@JoannesWeb7 жыл бұрын
To decrease on the sides, do so normally but the stitches you would normally knit from "under the stitch" you would knit them normally. (only on the edges). For the middle you do the same, just make sure you continue with the pattern on the sides of the ones you are taking off.
