I love Whitby. I have their Avro Pilot: similar to the pilot in this video but with the CAF rondel at 12 and an ETA 2824 inside.

Whoo! That GMT is beautiful. Love the dial’s color combinations and handset. It helps that I love anything with a Maple Leaf on it!

My pleasure Darren, I really dig their watches, especially that double tang design. While there is a Whitby in Ontario Canada where the company is based there is also a Whitby in the UK, it's a small fishing village and one of my favourite places to visit. You should google it. The abbey there is what inspired Bram Stokers Dracula. Best, MJ

Excellent review and I must admit a great value for money especially for the specs of the automatic one. If you consider the fact that titanium watches are pretty expensive to buy. Anyway. Momentum is another Canadian watch company that has comparable watches and they are assembled in Canada. Their feildwalker (in auto or quartz) and their new line of solar watches are really nice too.

I do like a good flieger although given the universal design I guess if you like one chances are you like most. These look well done and a good price. But spend a little more and you are into entry level Laco territory. However very nice watches and I'm sure they will sell very well 👍

I have never been a fan of Flieger or pilots watches but after seeing these they are starting to grow on me :) I like these ones a lot :) Have a great weekend Chris. MJ

Great video Matt, this Whitby stuff is interesting for a Tschermen like me, however they are a bit tooo german for my taste IMHO, in particular the pilot style pieces. After some more googeling I found some more and most interesting canadian brands, thanks to you! Hey Matt as an Englishman you might be interested in some brit stuff too. Please check Freese watches (I got a Freese 53 a tiny little 35 mm military style ticker) and the "Geckota" watches comp., they even make watches for the big guys.

Nice watches and like Canada but not a fan of the maple leaf on the dial tbh .Double tang straps are cool my G Shock Mudmaster has them too .The Fliegers are more up my street and they hack which believe it or not the originals did not [no wonder they lost the war ]
