What size needle do you typically use for quilting on your longarm? Are they different in any way from the type you would use on a domestic machine? I'm not a long-armer... YET!! Lol! I'm just trying to piece together a little information I've not really heard mentioned in relation to it, wanting to understand more of the detailed info. Thank you, Natalia! I use many of your longarm ideas in my quilting that I do on my domestic machine. I always get inspired when you post a something new! Gorgeous quilt! Beautiful quilting!

I use whatever size is recommended by the thread manufacturer. So it can vary if I change threads. Generally it's the 3.5. Longarm needles, on a Gammill are different from domestic needles.

Lovely quilting! I just have one question- why didn’t you use the pineapple ruler on outlining the curves of the rings as well as the interior (blue) arcs?

Just personal preference, the angle isn't exactly the same as the ruler, so I felt more comforatable using my 4-N-1 Machine quilting ruler.

I actually used my statler stitcher for that motif. :) I could have done them free-motion, but since I wanted them all to be exactly the same the statler was the perfect fit.
