WD 40 works also very good as lubicant to avoid cloggig up the burr bit on aluminium.

Good call on repeating the eye protection thing. While i typically dont wear a full face mask, i do wear Dewalt goggles now after a piece of metal managed to go between the frame and my upper cheek of a nice pair of normal 3m glasses i used to use. Didn't really notice it at first, then the next morning i could hardly open the eye. Cost me about $400 to get it removed, and only that little because i paid cash. Those of you who don't wear adequate eye protection are going to love it when the doctor puts your eye in a special clamp which prevents you from blinking. its a blast.

Very nice burrs. I was surprised at how well they did in the stainless. Great tool review video.

Isn't it annoying when the ghost of a welder sneaks into your workshop, in the middle of the night, and welds on you table? 😀

Hey John. Bought a pile of these burs about three years ago straight from china. I bought five of each type because at four bucks each i thought i would kill them pretty quickly. I use them often and hard and no lube.nearly all are still in their packets. Really only killed one in that time.

I didn’t know these things bite so hard in harder materials like steel. Learned new things here.

Just look at mohs scale of hardness mate. These carbide burrs are 9 on a scale of 10. Hardened steel is rated as 7-8, so of course these things will cut through.... Just research the hardness of the materials you’re working with and the principal is that the harder things will cut the softer things.

Cracking honest review. I have to admit to being very pleasantly surprised. I thought they'd be poor. Very impressed with the performance. Especially on stainless.

Hello John...loved the safety tip at the end...I use a welding hood as the replacement lens is so much cheaper and flat so it doesn't distort the view with pesky reflections, also you have protection from below as the hood curves in real nice... again...thanks for a great video... PB

I have rusted bolt in the exhaust pipes. I need to grind the rusted bolt head. Is it safe to use these burrs on a corded drill - "DeWALT - DWD014S-QS" its 550Watt , 2800 RPM no load. I risk destroying the drill because it's not made for side loads i heard. Please answer. Thanks

Hi John, just after some additional and replacement hand files, have you done any reviews? can't fine via search. Is there any brand you could recommend? I've never bought any, they came from work. Bellotta, Stubs and some just marked with an n. They have been good with regular carding but just coming of age 30yrs +
