OP 7 was used in episodes that recapped the crew's motivations for sailing together 2 at a time. But it is treated as filler, as those episodes STOPPED, no, FROZE the plot until they were done. They did have some gag shorts that redepicted the characters for said shorts, including one where they were all middle aged ladies.

The repeat of the first opening was due to a filler mini-season where they took one episode to review the backstory of all the crew members, so the logic was "hey, were talking about the past so... Opening one again? Yes" Also the singer was replaced with the voice actors of the main crew.

It is the 3rd best selling comic of all time behind Batman and Superman.
