There seem to be two types of reviewers for the iPad Prod: the KZbin tech reviewer and the artist/creator reviewer. The YouTub tech reviewer wants their Mac workflow to be fully recreated as is on the iPad. Due to the software, these reviewers have tended to give the iPad Pro a negative review. The artist/creator reviewers have praised the iPad Pro as the software/workflow works better than the Mac. This review was great because you have a Pro who understands how the iPad can be used in their workflow to get the desired outcomes. The 1st Logic and Final Cut Pro may not have all Mac features, but version 2 or later will address those gaps. Great video. You provided a clear workflow demo on how Logic 2 can be leveraged for music mastering.

It’s funny. every Apple user, the main problem of the iPad is not in the hardware but it’s in the software… After comparing with the best android tablet… I use my iPad mainly because of the apps , they are so good on the iPadOS

I understand that someone wants windows for their pc instead of macOS and i understand when someone wants to have android instead of iOS on their smartphone! BUT, for a Tablet, IPads are SOOO much better than android Tablets, it’s not even comparable! 😅 iPadOS is simply the best OS with a very Big Gap for Tablet PCs… Apple has mastered how a Tablet should be. Where Android on Tablets just feels like an Android Smartphone with a Big Screen… it’s just not intuitive. It’s like apple would put IOS on their Ipads. Then it would simply feel like a iphone with a big screen, which is definitely not, what i want on an Tablet PC… 💀 With an Ipad, you could really replace your PC/Laptop, with small limitations of course, but you could definitely NOT do that with any Android tablet this good! Just Alone because of the Performance… IPads are so much ahead in their Hardware! You could absolutely do Powerful things like Logic or 3D modeling, video editing etc. in a way, that would never be possible with any Android Tablet… 😅 I mean, i am an Apple user mainly, but i also use and love Windows on Pc‘s and Android on Smartphones or other devices! And i could absolutely understand, if someone wants to have windows or android on their devices. But with Tablets, there is absolutely no thing to discuss! 🙈 Ipads are way better in software and miles ahead in Hardware! The gap is so big that it’s not even comparable… 🤷🏽 I mean, i know so many People, who hates Apple and their products like my brother for example, but when it comes to tablets, even they use Ipads, that alone shows how good those are 😅

updated my iPad 13 pro m4 to iOS 17.1 . After that the sound from the external speakers became weaker than usual. Now I have to set the volume to maximum to listen to be able to listen.

Would love to see how many tracks it can handle with CPU hog synths like Moog Mariana .. If I could get 8 tracks in Drambo w/ several AUV3 effects on each, I’d be so happy. Still running a 2018 iPad Pro, thinking it’s about time to upgrade.

I recorded a song with 43 stems in my 2018 iPad pro, handle it well. But I am upgrading to the new one, bc I really like the workflow.

You know whats even easier? Just Master on a laptop without all the pain in the butt hoops you have to jump through to use audio on an iPad. Logic 2 on iPad was what made me realize the iPad Pro was a complete waste of money. The operating system is never going anywhere useful. An expensive device to watch videos on. Do some slightly janky web browsing on. I sold my M1 Pro and bought an M2 Macbook Air. Add an inexpensive 2 channel audio interface. They all work. Not just the ones iPad OS chooses to recognize. Perfect for mobile audio projects. Nice work though Will. Mix did sound great when you were done.

Great video. I am thinking of getting an iPad Air 11/13” or pro 11” to run Logic Pro. I have a MacBook Pro (intel processor) that I normally use to record my music (guitars and basses) with a Quad Cortex. Would the new iPad Air work fine? It is somewhat cheaper than the pro. Thanks.

Interesting video - loved it. But is it right to call this a ‘Review’ - Obviously, you know how to make a piece of software do what you wanted it to do - you know your tools. At the end you mentioned that all of these mastering effects were achieved using only Logic 2 for the iPad. Apart from that you never said if it was a good piece of kit or not…. Will incredible review full of "pro tips" 🔥 In your expert opinion for music industry use would you recommend the 13" over the 11" M4? I'm building as powerful and portable a mobile rig as possible am leaning toward the 11" ... migrating from Ableton Live on a 15" MBPro to the 11"/13" M4 with Logic. Trying to be as minimal as possible while making room for analog synths, front end equipment, and a few guitar pedals ... Mostly a sound architect (classically trained jazz woodwind guy) 😃. You can't. He is just doing simple mastering not even mixing which is needed more plugins. As you can see he just dragged one total mix track then doing mastering. Definitely you need a macbook and audio card for AD/DA and mixing.

There’s Logic 1. Then they came out with a second one. So now it’s Logic 2. 😂. They call it Logic 2 for the iPad I think. It’s the one they must released.
