Thanks everyone for supporting Peter. I just sat down on the plane and Brodin and I threw this together and uploaded off my phone's hotspot as the plane was boarding to get it up before we fly back to LA. Ahead of the interview I asked Peter if he was comfortable talking about the personal side of this week for him and he said he was alright with it. I honestly do know that he appreciated all the love and support and it helped him out this week. It helped me out too, so thank you. I'm feeling a little emotional writing this message right now even. Thanks again, to all of you. =)

"DOUB-LE-LIFT - DOUB-LE-LIFT - DOUB-LE-LIFT" - I bet that chant was pretty damn exhilerating for Peter. Dude is a competitve maniac. Loved the great questions by Travis , and my favorite response by DL was the part about his confrontation for positive feedback, insightful stuff.

Peter, in response to your "I wish I could have popped off" ect. You may not have got a penta or anything flashy, but you did finish with the best KDA in playoffs between both NA and EU. Goodjob!

I've had this opinion for some time now Travis but i feel like this is a great video to comment it. You are an incredible interviewer. You are so professional as well as being funny, insightful, and understanding. You keep the interviews awesome while still leaving easter eggs and inside jokes all along the way. I chose this video because of the doublelift incident. i know you two are close but for you to show so much sympathy and to talk about that situation in such a light way, is unreal. You made him and us as the viewers comfortable with asking him how he is doing, without us feeling awkward. That was an insane challenge and you made it look like a cake walk. I truly appreciate your content and your unmatched professionalism. You are a true reporter and everyone in every situation should learn from you and how you do it. My hat is off to you sir and i wish you good health. p.s. you're team is awesome too!! i know they help tremendously.

@midastheunwise24236 жыл бұрын
Bjergsen has the best legacy for sure, but I think Rekkles will eclipse him if he carries on with his current trajectory, he's definitely been the best player in the West for the last 2 splits now. Having said that, if doublelift is able to consistently play at the level he did in the NA finals, he could also be a contender for the best.
@salvest3rr6 жыл бұрын
Dl > bjerg
@sebastiaankruis30066 жыл бұрын
Count Lieberkuhn I think it's not really helpful to compare different roles, I mean you can do it and maybe make a reasonable case for someone, but the roles are too different to really get to a good conclusion. That being said, I think Rekkles made a really strong case this season for being the greatest adc in the west. He NEVER dies (0 deaths in finals only the tip of the iceberg), his teamfighting is absolutely insane, he is able to constantly outcs his enemy (partly to really smart wavemanagement and sidelane-play) and while doing all this great stuff and having all the great stats he is no kda player (as some might say about his past), he is aggressive in the right moments and he has insane highlight plays to prove that. I like Dl, but he can't rival Rekkles.

@chrome56136 жыл бұрын
Tbf even with past relationship problems it's still his family... even if you don't get along.. even if you haven't spoke to them for years a tragedy like that will still be a heavier blow then just about anything I can think of... being able to keep a cool head after that and put yourself back together, stand up and do what you need to do... Ethier shows a tremendous amount of strength and resolve as well as self control, that you are in shock because it doesnt seem real and you are in denial, or you are a borderline sociopath

You know, I learned a lot about Peter "Doublelift" as a person recently. He may seem like a cocky, trash talker on camera, but he has some serious wisdom and knowledge on life in general. It almost teared me up when he was talking about how not just in game but in life with friends and family you have to be confrontational in a positive way to address problems. I look back at how many situations in my life that have gone wrong, relationships that I have lost... If only I could of had that valuable insight and knowledge back then I would be in a lot better place today. He is being so real in this interview, I hope we all can learn from his experience. Grats to Peter and Team Liquid. #TSMWIN

Doublelift has been my favorite player since Chauster retired in 2013. Most people don't understand how dedicated you have been to the game, its your life. They claim you're "toxic" but they haven't seen the CLG streams with saint and hotshot SCREAMING at eachother. You came from a time before there was money in the seen, when there was only passion. I miss those times, it was real. P.S. Double if you ever seen this, You could retired and im still a fan. All was will be.
