As much as I was a hardcore TSM fan back then during the dominant era of LCS, was always hating on you and seeing you as a rival to my favorite team. Looking back, all I can say is because of you, the rivalry between the old school CLG VS TSM saga was one of the very best moments in league. You have provided so much for us to cheer on, look forward to every game, rooting on teams. I sincerely thank you Doublelift for giving us fans what we truly wanted but don't deserve. Massive respect and once again thank you for all the amazing performance you have given us fans. Good luck and all the best in your future endeavors.

Hey Doublelift, As I sit here reflecting on the incredible journey you've taken us on, from high school to the biggest stages in esports, I can't help but feel a sense of awe and gratitude. Your performances, whether it was that jaw-dropping pentakill on CLG, the masterful kiting on TSM, or the historic Team Liquid victories when no one believed, have left an indelible mark on my heart. Being from Vancouver, I was initially drawn into the LCS world, but even after getting to know players like Faker, there was always something special about you that kept me hooked. Your resilience, skill, and passion for the game have been truly inspiring. Sure, the dream of winning Worlds might elude us, but in the grand scheme of things, it's the journey that matters most. We've witnessed your growth, celebrated victories, and faced challenges together. No journey is without its regrets, but isn't that what makes it all the more meaningful? You'll forever hold the title of TOP 1 ADC in my heart, and I'm sure many others feel the same. Your transition to content creation is exciting, and I have no doubt you'll continue to excel. Thank you, Doublelift, for being an integral part of my life's journey. Wishing you the best in all your future endeavors! Cheers to the memories and the legacy you've built. Good luck, and may your path ahead be as remarkable as the journey you've taken us on. With gratitude, the 15 yo me to the 26 yo me now

It's 2 am in Germany and I'm crying my eyes out. I started watching league season 2, became a CLG fan and Doublelift was always my favourite player. Accepting the dominance for TSM was hard for a while but I stuck with them until we won it back to back. Then I started working at stopped watching and playing league, so I have few memories of TSM doublelift and none of TL double, but watching this video brought so many memories together. I did grow up with him, and I feel so old now, but the love for the game never left. Seeing that pod with Scarra, Saint, voy and shiph was a big throwback. Thinking of the good ol' days made me realize how changed I am, and appreciate all what double did for me and the sport. As a 27 yo 'grown up kid' who peaked plat in my college years but always thought I would really love to play competitively while watching doublelift, bjergsen, rekkles grow side by side with me, I realized how much I ve grown when I told a 15 yo in silver to watch old doublelift clips to learn how to adc. I almost cried and I would if I had not to when I saw my icons cry on stage from success or failure. Pete, you are one of the 3 I always admired, each for various reasons but I will probably say I feel closer to you since I watched almost all your streams and costreams (even the 3 days long one), and I can see in your eyes my own alter ego. Oh and that you have been the world's best adc when I switched from midlane, just because I was trying staff you did (you have been, no matter anybody says). Thank you for living every grown up, sucked in reality, casual gamer's dream. We lived in it when we watched you. I am european so FNC is still the team I support, but you and Soren are the reason I stayed up late to watch NA and hoped that TSM would eventually make out of groups (jk). I wish there is a universe where we hang out and play video games together.

ive watched you and followed you to every team you've played on for years now... I'm going to miss you, not sure who to root for anymore or if I will even still watch lcs to be honest. Always a joy and every game felt like a win was possible when you were playing. Thanks for the good games and memories!

You and bjergsen inspired me to be the person I am today, and I'm better for it. Thank you for your hard work and everything you've given to the community. It's insane to think that back then people making money playing games wasn't even a possiblity back then but you helped make it one, and it's what I've been trying to do ever since I first saw lcs in season 2.

You really do have nothing to be ashamed of. You managed to accomplish so much in such a short timespan. You were, and still are, one of the best. Best wishes to you on the next step in your life, Peter. No matter what you do, I know you'll put your best effort into it.

just saw this now, but man... glad i watched. I watched DL since I was in college during s1. DL was the best ADC with Chauster support. One of the only ADCs who could play vayne well. I watched every DL game, and followed you from CLG to TSM then to TL. It's been a journey. More than that, it's a pleasure to have watched you grow as a player and as a person. glad to see you are moving on to the next chapter. And don't forget, ... you did have international success! Beating IG at MSI was INSANE. Watched that series a few times...

used to call you Doubletilt back in the days cause I was not an NA fan but watching this video I found out that we had a lot of similarities and I'm glad how you developed your character throughout the years. for me you will still go down as one of the legends of LCS, thank you for the blood, sweat and tears. I'm sure there's a lot in store for you, wishing you all the best and happiness in the world.

its so weird to me people are just against entire regions of the world... especially in gaming lol. Its like you see not a single one of the millions of players in NA as individuals, just a collective of sub humans playing the same game as you in a different part of the world.

Thank you so much doublelift. Have been watching you since season 2. When I was like 13-14 and now I’m 24. I still remember when I was in school I kept supporting clg mainly because of you. And I was frustrated because all my friends supported tsm and they kept rubbing in the win whenever clg lost. Although you kept losing at that time I still supported you. But when finally you won in MSG the first time, I was so damn emotional😢 Probably the most memorable thing in my life. Also whenever you switched teams I always supported that team. Thank you for a decade worth of memories❤

I think people fail to recognize that doublelift went through a tragedy most pro-players will never go through. His brother killed his MOTHER and injured his father and he still continued on, bro is the definition of "thugging it out." A player that gave NA a chance at WORLDS and other adcs a run for their money at his age. As a former challenger player, it's insane to see him keep his edge as a top-tier adc at his age. The most respected NA adc by Faker... Doublelift is GOATED.

I know nothing about Esports (literally NOTHING), and this is the first time I've heard about you, but I really want to root for you now after watching this and hearing about your story. Despite you retiring from the professional league I hope you stay incredibly active on KZbin. This would be a great new opportunity for you to make tutorials helping beginners learn the game from such an experienced pro. Can't wait to see what you'll be doing next! :)

I love your story, your drive, your motivation, your positivity, not ego, just being so confident and strong minded. I'm 26, but started league in season 1, as a young kid. At season 6 I finally had enough money made myself I could rename my childish named account. I renamed it Dobblelift, to my suprise, the name was not taken. (EUW) I looked up to you, I wanted to be as good and confident as you was, not just as a league player but as a person! :) Thank you Doublelift!
