I'll be honest, I can't build shit to save my life, but this game alone with enough time, you could become highly advanced builder. PLUS, what is crazy to think about, is the fact this is still only early access, they could add tons and tons and tons more to this game for building.

Fastest way I've found to get dirt is place an altar up in the snow, and dig right outside your build line. Snow mountains are 100% dirt.

@@seethrew I hope you won or got close. I'm trying to build a nice little castle type base but, the tools are a bit frustrating for fixing some mistakes. I hope they make a drag tool,copy& paste tool and maybe a way to delete many blocks at once even if they're not one block set. So I could only imagine the time you put into your build

If you go to the top of mountains and it’s all gray it’s actually all dirt that you can mine pretty much forever.

Thank you for your content I have enjoyed it and you have helped me in my build in enshrouded, have a question how you get the Nordic horse on roof edges and please do video of the different techniques to add contrast and detail to the builds to keep them from being so plain.

Good video - thank you. I understand what you are saying about cohesiveness (but) I have done my alchemist area using the same materials as every where else *except* the props are made from metal and nowhere else in my build has metal windows lamps etc - so the alchemists area feels like it belongs there (using same blocks) but it feels a special area because of all the metal. I look forward to the day (in enshrouded) when we can place traps and mobs within our alters, so we can make our own dungeons

I think the wire frame/skeleton used in Claymation is called an "armature".

You know instead of using the foundation to remove land you can use the terrain and literally just right click to remove the land. The reason this is so damn good is not only do they have large sizes to remove land but you are only clicking 1 time. Then on top of that it does not remove anything else but terrain, so you do not have to worry about it removing other building material. There are some interesting shapes with the terrain too so you can cut out some really fun looking shapes using. I prefer this because of how fast it is. When you are removing foundation to create the hole you have to first place the foundation and then remove it. To remove it you need to make sure you are focused on the block. This all takes just a few seconds but man is it a game changer to just right button smash to remove land.
@seethrewАй бұрын
@beaubreau I chose to do this for many reasons. #1 for exact precision and perfect squares. #2 is 100% full use of the buildable area. I'm very meticulous no matter what game or build, if the hard way is the better way, I'll take the hard way for the better end result. Hints why my method won me the national build contest. Sorry if I sounds upset here, but the comment almost sounds like your method is superior to mine, although it's been 6 or 8 months since I have touched this game.

I'm guessing all those different effects depend on durability of a specific block. Meaning, we might get a content in a future where out base is being attacked. Maybe something similar to purge in Conan Exiles? As for farming dirt, just pickaxe mud. Those spitting flowers are usually planted around mud.

Awesome, awesome tipps, thank you so much!!! Very creative ideas and amazing ways to make great things out of it. ❤ And here I am, driven insane by the asymmetrical way the voxels behave. Left side smooth, right side janky,. 😭 Do we just have to live with that? My doorway, although I framed with stone to make it look more even, still looks different left side vs right side. Any better way to work around that? I wanted to subscribe, just to notice I already am. Well, even better. 😅
