I always had a suspicion that Kagami Yoshimizu, the mangaka of Lucky Star, based Hiyori to a certain extent on himself and that's why Hiyori always seemed to pop so well as a character.

I know it's not a quote but my favourite scene with Hiyori was Hiyori's interaction with Cherry-Chan and Yu-Chan thinking "She must be the kind of person that makes doggies bark!". I like animes like lucky Star because it's "easy watching" a lot like Sgt. Frog where you can just have a laugh and unwind after work, I wish they would make more Lucky Star but after 9 years chances of them doing more episodes is pretty unlikely unfortunately :(

1) This show is great in both Japanese and English dubs. 2) This show gives me the drive to write my stories. I feel Hiyori's pain when she isn't able to remember her inspirations. I think I've figured it out. The second half of the show focuses on two groups of characters, the A-Group, and the B-Group. A-Group is Konata, Kagami, Tsukasa, and Miyuki, while B-Group is Yutaka, Minami, Hiyori, and Patricia. Any second season of the anime would undoubtedly put more focus on B-Group since the anime had gotten close to the point when the A-Group would have graduated (as well as Ayano and Misao, who I classify as the Outsiders). On another note, the copious amount of the B-Group in this video made me feel like I was watching a different anime until Konata finally appeared at 6:47.
