WHY KOREY DOESN'T LIKE THEME PARKS | Double Toasted Bites - Theme parks in Orlando, whether it's Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Seaworld, Magic Kingdom, and more - can be very expensive. So expensive that to a point instead of seeing where the theme parks are ranked, people just look for things to do in Orlando besides theme parks, whether those activities are actually exciting, expensive, or mildly entertaining. But whether you are planning to eventually go to a resort, Korey decided to tell his recent memories of going to theme parks and why he just ain't into 'em.

Having a Disneyland pass was great when they had the live music events, you could get your drink on and get silly. But they got rid of all that, and now you can only stand in line for rides... Plus the price went through the roof

I remember going to Disney World about a decade ago and standing in a line for about 3 hours only to get the end and have them tell us, “Sorry folks, we are shutting the ride down due to the weather.” 😐🔫 never again

I went 10 years ago in September, it was no lines and 70 dollars. The key is to go out of season.

My first time at Disney World was in 2016. It was expensive, but it was amazing! Truly magical! It was so worth it. My family and I decided to go back in which we did in 2019. Man... if that didn't leave a bitter taste in my mouth. 2019 trip to Disney World was a complete 180 from our first time in 2016. It was way more crowded, weather was so erratic, and the rides we loved either took 90 minutes or more, or shut down. Even the food service was disappointing. Universal Orlando saved that 2019 trip as it was our first time. Had such a blast there. Don't think we will ever do all the Disney Parks in Orlando. Only Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom. Universal will for sure be the top priority. Cant wait for Epic Universe.

Funny you bring up Disney: Without Disney, there wouldn’t be any manga and anime. After WWII, US soldiers leaving behind their Disney comics(Mostly Donald Duck) in Japan after their deployment and the Japanese picked them up, were entertained, and it inspired them to create things of their own.

Heck, you have a Luffy avatar, which Eiichiro Oda’s art was heavily inspired by rubber hose animation, which Disney was among the ones to use it early on.

There wasn't an omicron covid wave in progress this summer. There are many operations dealing with the consequences of massive employee shortages, due to how many are testing positive and having to remain home. Times change and operations have no choice but to make adjustments.

Thing with disney world is that you cant go without a plan.. planning is a huge reason my trips to disney are either the best ones Ive ever have or the worst vacation memories.. but your not wrong on the money thing.. if you go ill prepared then disney will happily suck up all your credit cards and cash.. these days going to universal studios orlando is easier.. also if you have a parkhopper in disney world (then your getting ripped off.. cuz it has never been easy to parkhop there even when you use the monorail.. everything is way too spaced out) universal built a train that connects so its at least fun to park hop there.. and disneyland in california is fun to parkhop if you know how to manage your time properly) anyway, themeparks can be lots of fun (but disney world requires some studying cuz its like the big marathon of themeparks... it can quickly go wrong if you dont train up for it )

I went in the early 2000s is wasn’t nearly as bad as this….I took pictures with characters in costumes, got autographs from all the Disney characters, road space mountain, back to the future, and got myself photoshopped on a picture of sports illustrated.

Dude ai went last year and I kid you know we waited in the Transformers ride line for damn near 2 and a half hours. We got to the point where we couldn't leave because it was so packed inside the building. Just for a 4 minute ride
