I'm not looking for marriage but I know that to even entertain being with someone forever or even just a few years, I have an extensive list of requirements that must be met (I assure you they're sensible...mostly, lol. Once my guy friend said to me „l want to grab something to eat with you” a while after that he told me that it was a date, like how could I know that ? I also had different guy friend who would touch my hair, I was like „what are you doing?” And he said „I just like to touch hair” I tought it was wierd, but people do wierd things so I just ignored it. One day i overheard him talking to somebody that he liked me, I would never realised that by myself. Since we started daiting he never touched my hair. Just wanna say that Swoozie's advice of "mutual interest, mutual investment" has become a mantra in my life. Once I started adopting that idea, I got a whole lot further in life. I remember for over a year, I had it bad for this girl who never gave me the time of day. We never even dated and I got so head-over-heels for this girl that I made a fool out of myself. Then I just came to grips with the fact that she wasn't into me, and while it was super hard at first, it was the most freeing thing I've ever done. Also taught me a lot about focusing on improving myself rather than a girl. For me i had self esteem issues but when a guy is over complimentive it screams,"i have ulterior motives or don't really care much for you." To me cause they do stay wanting to get in my pants. This video's real. The girl in my life who came after me the hardest happened when I was at a bar by my college campus and she asked me to buy her a drink. I gave an excuse to why I couldn't and went with my friends. I kept running into her every now and then and she would be extremely flirtatious and gave me her number at some point. The second you mentioned "if a girl is not into you, there's a chance she'll never be into you" I just felt like "someone said it omg" I can only speak for myself but personally- it feels crappy. It feels bad when someone just seems to think at some point you'll be into them. . .even if your pretty sure you won't be. I had a guy like this where no matter how many times I denied his confession, he just. . .kept going. As if believing at some point I'd be interested. I wasn't. I was getting uncomfortable. I was feeling guilty about the rejections cause he looked like a kicked puppy. And I felt guilty because this dude would love to get me gifts. He was starting to just make me overall uncomfortable because he also seemed to, in my eyes, get clingy to me. It just overall felt like the very idea that I just wouldn't be into him wasn't possible. I mean, that's my own experience with a guy seeming to think at some point I'd be into him, but it just. . .felt bad overall. I ended up cutting ties with him because of it. For me, it feels like if you keep kind of pushing for that person to like you, even if they made it clear they aren't interested, it feels like your being ignored and that doesn't really make things good.
