I follow the "Team Skeptic" channel where he gives commentary on a lot of courtroom dumbfuckery, and Judge Simpson makes regular appearances there. I can tell you that Cedric Simpson is a kind, merciful judge...IF the defendant is genuinely remorseful and respectful of him and the court. Unfortunately he gets a lot of people in front of him who manage to do things like talk themselves up from a speeding ticket to a jail sentence through their own buffoonery.

No. I normally would have a problem with a judge giving out these kinds of sentences. I personally have seen too many of my Foundational Black American brothers and sisters railroaded by the system.
