As a long-time worker in the foodservice industry, I'm on Grover's side. I've noticed that customers act VERY entitled and unreasonable, especially concerning their food (kind of like those Snickers commercials). And who in their right mind goes to a formal, sit-down restaurant when they're "in a hurry?" Better brown-bag that s#it before you go to work and eat at your desk, dumbo. P.S. And NO, the customer is NOT always right :)

"And who in their right mind goes to a formal, sit-down restaurant when they're 'in a hurry?' " THANK YOU!!! YES!!! One of my first jobs was at Subway, and I was changing the sodas when a customer came in and told me to hurry up. At first, I tell him, "Be right with you," but he complained that I was taking too long. So I responded with, "If you have somewhere to be, the have the common sense to go straight there!" With that, he left and never came back.

I can only assume Martin has never been a server before. Just because a customer isn’t intentionally messing with their server doesn’t mean they aren’t inconsiderate or unobservant. In situations where a server is clearly busy and you’re behaving in this way, you’re showing a lack of understanding and a sense of entitlement. There’s a basic etiquette that goes both ways in the industry, and every server on the planet can tell which customers have worked tables/bars at some point in their lives, and which haven’t. Light blue, bald guy fails at that basic etiquette. That said, love you, Martin.
