In my experience in the last few years, Hilton has just forgotten about the Doubletree brand, and the ones I have stayed at have been old and tired. One of the problems of the hotel chains creating so many different brands that some of them fall by the wayside and are forgotten.

I stayed there and agree with your rating - my room was in a desperate need of a reno. What keeps this place going is the view. I stayed there overnight for July 4th fireworks and was a great view. BTW, thanks for your Sedona video!

I remember going to a Star Trek convention there back in '89 or '90! Didn't stay there though. I took the subway from Maryland. It definitely looks it's age.

Another great YP video. And... another good Japanese movie suggestion: "Perfect Days" from 2023. About a Tokyo janitor, a bit of a daydreamer. Not for everyone, but a great "slice of Japan life"-type movie.

Hi Chris. Thanks for the review. I guess I would stay there if I had no choice. The room did look that nice and the parking garage is pretty sketchy for sure. I'd probably stay closer to the city and pay a little more. Take care.

What hotel has twin beds? Crystal City was the place in the 80s. It had the Crystal Underground which had restaurants, shops, and a nightclub. I spent many a New Year’s at the Hyatt.

How many nights should I spend in Singapore since it will be my first time? Note: I will most likely arrive at night and leave in the morning so 2 travel days. Also I will be filming every day of my trip so as you know stuff takes longer lol. Thanks for always answering my many travel questions!!! Also this has got to be the most unique DoubleTree I've seen, I would never think of seeing a rotating restaurant there!

How could this not 4 tophers! If the air conditioner was broken and the toilet didnt work and the shower was busted then Yes. Your grade is deserved but if it still works even if it looks ugly. At least this had a fridge while the 3.5 topher hotel didnt.
