I'l start of by saying that I'm not claiming that under no circumstances one should'nt follow a Madh'hab. Obviously throughout history and when information is scarce, there may be a need to do so. Also in the case of the student of knowledge who wants to go deep into Ilm, there may be a necessity to do so. But to claim we as lay-Muslims must follow one, if we can access people og knowledge and their fatwas who dont adhere to a particular Madh'hab, has zero proof. Where in the hadith of banu Qaraydha does it say that all of the Sahaaba who differed over the time of asr Salat were Ulama? Many of them were simple people who loved Allah. Yet their difference of opinion in this matter was endorsed by Rusulallah (sulallahu alayhi wa salam). So this hadith would seem to refute Abbas's claim that it is obligatory to follow a Madh'hab. Also to counter what Dr Imran said, tah'a (obedience) is to Allah and His Messenger not to a particular Alim, if they do not bring that which is authentically proven from Allah and His Messenger (sulallahu alayhi wa salam). Also the statement of Allah ta ala (translated meaning) 'And if you do not know, ask the people of knowledge' refers to asking for what is authentically proven from the Qur'an and Sunnah, because every Madh'hab has somethings that are correct and somethings that are wrong. And if we deliberately turn away from that which has been authentically proven to be from Allah and His Messenger in favour of our Madh'hab, then we will have to answer to Allah for this.

Let me explain to you the importance of Madhabs. When the two groups Differed on the Salat, they based it on the Alims of each group. As any difference of opinion those who are more knowledgeable would state the course of action and those that were Not as Knowledgeable would Choose a side based on their level of understanding OR who they thought had more knowledge on the subject. YOU will still use that same criteria today. There are MANY Scholars and Schools of thought among Muslims. AND what you do is pick a School or a Scholar from among them that you feel is the most Knowledgeable and follow them. That is the way that you will do it and The Prophet does not pick one over the other. And InshaAllah Your choice will be rewarded regardless of who you choose to follow. Madhabs can be right or wrong but so can the Sect of Wahhabis and Salafis and Atharis. So the best way is don't try and correct others when you shouldn't be overstepping your level of expertise.

1 John 4:2 does not say the spirit talking to Mohamed is from God. It says « Any spirit that confesse Jesus Christ come in the flesh is form God. » At the end of the letter, it says « In his son Jesus Christ, he is the true God. ». Mohamed’s spirit denied Jesus Christ according to what John is saying.

I'm not sure what you are talking about but it seems you are making a mistake with « In his son Jesus Christ, he is the true God. ».
