Bdubs contemplates his and Etho’s life together as Grian pushes doubt onto him. All alone his blood runs thin, and doubt comes- doubt comes in.
I don’t feel as though I really have to explain the story of this animatic as it’s pretty obvious if you watched Last Life lol (or maybe it just is to me, becuz I drew all this) buuut there is one thing! the orbs floating around bdubs are lights, they represent the fates (you can guess who are the fates in this) but are also inspired by the choreography of this song, how the fates are holding their lanterns, you can hardly see them, it’s almost as if they /are/ the lights. Anyway, that probably doesn’t matter to some of y’all, no one really reads the description anyway!

O h I'm crying so much omg /pos Having the clock as the clasp to Bdub's moss hoodie/cape is perfect, the reference to Tango and Skizz being with Etho during Eurydice's part was so touching, making the point where Orpheus turns to look at Eurydice be when Etho realizes that Bdubs got shot, the despair on Etho's face and how he crumples to the ground once Bdubs despawns, and having the opening notes to The Road To Hell (Reprise) playing at the end there? *Grunkle Stan meme* Ah this? I’m a few years late but here I go… What I love about this animatic is the use of framing. Most of the time, we look down on Bdubs through the frame. We see him from the waist up and we look down on him as he feels more and more defeated. We watch him and he is alone. The flat dark background adds to that sad feeling. Etho is the only one with a source of light, the moon. We can see him smile with his eyes. He looks hopeful that he can give a heart to Bdubs… and that chance is ripped away from him. Beautiful art!

Alright- The little lights/fates... Grian and the other person (I DON'T REMEMBER WHO IT WAS... IT MIGHT'VE BEEN TANGO, JOEL OR MARTYN. IDK) who started to tell Bdubs that Etho doesn't care. Etho is a survivor. He just stkcks with what keeps him alive the longest. Only for Bdubs to start doubting, and Etho seeing the death message in chat. (I'm actually not sure about that. I haven't seen either of their points of view. I might watch those after I rewatch this)
