Thank you, this letter is very important to think about. This verse in particular is one I have heard oft repeated, that we need to DO more in order to be approved by the Lord Jesus Christ: Matthew 7:21-23 21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’ So this is a verse in particular that I have wrestled with many times. If we are saved by the Grace of God through our Lord Jesus Christ, but we don't do the will of our Father, we won't be allowed to be in Heaven with him? Even though we love him and try to follow his commandments to show our love to him: Love the Lord God with all your heart and mind and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself. Matthew 22:37 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. So if we love him by keeping these two commandments he gave us, why do those people get rejected by him? Is it because they were doing works but it was for themselves and they didn't love their Lord and their neighbor? The only thing I honestly keep going back to to stop worrying about this (Dying and being rejected by Jesus) is to be like I was when I first really gave my life to Jesus; Be like a child and just trust him. Which is way easier to say than to do. Again, your letters are always giving me a pearl that I am turning over in my mind thinking about. Thank you, sir. God bless you and your wife.

If we are saved by the Grace of God through our Lord Jesus Christ, we will do the will of our Father. It's as simple as that. It's just that we tend to think that we are either not doing enough or are not continuing in it as we like to think we should. You're being sanctified Kevin, and for each of us that takes time. Be thankful to Him that you are asking the questions that matter. "How can I glorify you?" That's the question.
